    Ugly Knock Outs - Give me your worst examples

    The gameplay engineer working on the KO system asked me to ask you guys for examples of the ugliest KO's you've seen in the beta.

    I know it's a hot topic, so shouldn't be hard to find them.

    To be clear, interested in fight ending KO's, not KD's.

    Trying to validate that the issues you guys are seeing have been fixed here, or if there's still work to do.

    Do we have to provide an example in saying the zoom really needs to go (or at least be able to be turned off)?

          Knockout animation while standing or when you hit someone on the ground ?

            Focus on the animation and fall the get getting hit does.

              Some ko's just take too long for them to hit the ground , like they flail for a bit and then squat down and lay on there back , im also hoping we could land new gnp animations after ko in the full game

                  Apologies for lack of example video, but I've caught people circling out with high kicks, they've fallen back/forward on top of their arm and the physics wants to force their arm out into the open so they do a really bizarre roll over that looks like their mum is trying to get them up to go to school. It's happened to me 3-4 times

                    Damn, I was hoping that the devs would also take a look at ground and pound (it includes the "finish the fight" scenario) KO/TKO...

                    Any chance ? I'm not the only one complaining about this

                      I think, there is NO ugly animation. but some ppl hate pre-made animations because it looks not varied.

                        Does everyone agree?

                        I was under the impression there were issues with momentum not being properly preserved and looking too stiff on landing.

                          I don't agree, I've got wheelkick KO's where the dude just slumps over in place. Momentum definitely needs work

                              There are a few issues.
                              1) The animations ARE repetitive, I instantly recognized one from Fight Night Champion, and a few from UFC 1. One that stands out is when you KO someone with an uppercut, most of the time they have the exact same animation. To people who have played the series, it's obvious and feels like a cop-out. You can land an epic counter that results in a KO that just...I dunno...completely saps the excitement of what you just hit them with. Seeing someone get KO'd and fall down without any conservation of momentum breaks the immersion quite a lot.
                              2) They don't ragdoll, and are extremely stiff. Going from ragdolls to animations feels like a huge step backward.
                              3) A lot of the time, they don't seem relevant to the strike that caused them.
                              4) For the absolute vast majority, the KO's in UFC 2 looked very, very good. They were almost perfect. There were some goofy ones but for the most part, they looked very realistic.
                              5) The fight instantly ends and camera zooms in. I recognized this from UFC 1 and the UFC 2 beta. It's like the code was copy + pasted from a version of the game that is outdated, as UFC 2 has this tuned almost perfectly. Feels like an important feature was straight up removed.

                              @GPD: IS there a reason why we can't just have it work exactly like it did in UFC 2?
