    Never said it was perfect but it’s much more realistic. Ragdoll system with some weight is the perfect solution. I agree that sometimes it felt like they are weightless but they are knocked out they should feel like that. They should feel like as joe rogan says “Astral travelling”.

      Say what you want about UFC 2's striking as it is miles behind UFC 3 and FNC, but I play that game still because the KO's are the best imo! I put FNC down well before all the patches, because all the KO's were just underwhelming. Even going back to it a couple months ago, the KO's are meh, even with the good gameplay. Feel like I've seen every KO animation in UFC 3 already and I haven't even played that much. They're already getting stale. Nothing new from any stream or vid that's making me want to try and up the KO anti! As awesome as the new stand up is, KO's are way behind UFC 2... and those are still awesome almost 2 years later

          That wasn't even a great example. UFC 2 ragdoll wasn't perfect, but the knockouts felt organic and UNIQUE each time! Some minor tuning and it could be perfect! Unique knockouts really enhance the replay value, especially with the incredible striking system in UFC 3.

            I started paying closer attention to it after seeing this thread, and what I see is the guy getting KO'd doesn't seem to react right to it. If you watch the follow through of the strike, their body doesn't match it. It's a momentum thing. They just don't seem animated well to match the kind of knockout you're landing.

                    Alright I’m convinced these people defending the canned animations and arguing against rag dolls have never watched a fight. When someone gets knocked out standing, they drop. Instantly. Body parts going wherever they want because they have zero control over their body. Occasionally you get a guy who’s arms stiffen up because the nervous system is a weird thing, but for the most part they drop. Rag doll is the way to go. Sure, make it look weightier. Don’t send them flying. But rag doll is the answer.

                      Yeah seriously ragdoll is the way to go for KO's. Keep the pre rendered knockdowns if you want they're well made however the KO's need to be ragdoll.

                          I remember being so hyped for EA UFC 1 until i saw a TOP 50 Knockouts Video on Youtube, the same 5 KO animations over and over again, so i never bought the game, that gets boring way too soon

                          I absolutely love Fight Night Champion, still play it, the only thing that really bothers me about it are the canned KO animations, was so happy that they finally introduced ragdoll physics for EA UFC 2, thought they will only get better(more weight) for the next game

                          that they even reused some animations from Fight Night is really disappointing

                            Someone should set up a poll on here. I imagine that ragdoll would get at least 80% the votes, including mine. I thought the final version was said to have ragdoll,albeit toned down?

                                In all honesty that's probably the only thing about this beta that I would consider a serious disappointment is the canned animated knockouts. I love just about everything else about it,but I feel after 5 days of playing the beta,I'm already seeing the same animations over and over. I can only imagine how I'd feel after playing an otherwise amazing game for half a year,if I have seen all the KO animations several hundred times. Seriously,this one aspect seems like it's a few steps backwards from all the forward progress made with the stand up. I seriously was under the impression that ragdoll KO's were going to be in the final game, and that the animated ones were just placeholders in the beta. Out of every 100 knockouts in UFC 2, I'd safely say about 88 of them looked amazing,and the other 12 looked cool,but completely out of place. I'd say that's a pretty good trade off to see great looking KO's 88% of the time. I mean after 5 days of the beta, most of us are already tired of the predetermined ones, it would be hard to keep watching for months or years til we get the next installment. I say keep the animated knockdowns,ragdoll for knockouts.
