Any tips on learning how to play the game out of the opposite stance? I'm used to southpaw and play out of southpaw with every fighter I use. I have done since UFC 2. Now with the switch stance stat being a thing with quite a lot of emphasis... I want to be able to fight out of both stances better. Any tips?

Just practice, that's all, spend some time in practice mode or a difficulty down against the AI and stick to orthodox for a while and you'll probably get it down. It's also easier to switch the simpler you keep your game, like if you're only throwing the same 3-4 combos, just learn them from both stances.Comment

Nah, the only things I'll mess up is some of the 4 button strikes, like spinning back kicks and things like that. It might also help for boxing combinations if you learn the inputs in left right rather than lead rear, because the left right inputs don't change. So, for me, from southpaw I'd be thinking left straight-right hook rather than 2-3, and a 1-2 would be right straight-left straight, if that makes any sense.**** off, Nugget7211 - GPD, 2017 & 2018

SpoilerIs it possible to catch a body kick and convert it into a takedown? If I catch body kick and press X/A or O/B I can trip my opponent but not follow him to the ground. I'd ideally like to catch a kick and go straight into the ground, if possible.
Figured it out: Right Stick towards your opponent. Thank you, Nugget7211.Last edited by WatchMeDrive; 02-06-2018, 04:18 PM.Comment

Can somebody please for the love of God ! teach me how to initiate the finish the fight submission scenario ?
I’ve seen it in the beta but I have yet to see in the game ?
I’ve been playing mostly off-line and my opponents always get knocked out never have the opportunity to apply the sub ?

).
I've only been able to finish the fight with strikes once or twice. In the previous game it was way more common and almost automatically initiated. I mostly get endless knockdowns until there's a clean KO. :-(Comment

Re: EA UFC 3: Teach Me How To Thread: Tips, Strategies, Tutorials
So I had a guy last night who, while using Mighty Mouse, just ran, ran, ran, ran, then he randomly would blitz in with what looked like nothing but ~5 hooks, but my block meter would just instantly disintegrate, and he'd insta drop me.
Man, he kept doing this same thing over and over, and I just couldn't stop it even though i knew it was coming.
Maybe this is what he was doing and I didn't even realize?
My block was getting shredded in seconds repeatedly.
It almost felt like he was toying with me, trying to perfect his technique tbh. lol
I tried grappling him, but but DJs stats are so insane, I literally couldn't grapple him. Takedowns are impossible in this game, so i'd try to clinch but hed just transiton right out, in the same direction everytime, and I couldn't deny it, not 1 time. Like, I knew the direction before he even would go for it, but It still wouldn't deny. lolPSN: Lord__Hazanko

Having issues with starting out really strong, I rock my opponent about 5 times or more and can't of course capitalize on the rock due to the mechanics at this state, the opponent in say the 2nd or 3rd round puts me out with one punch and finishes me. It's such a disappointment, I get anything can happen, should we be disengaging completely when we get a rock to conserve and avoid that random counter ? are we expected to win entirely by decisions unless the luck happens to be in our favor ?Comment
