Re: Combo Spam
The strike output of a guy like Mark Hunt in this game is too much. Especially if the player can effectively break block down while still stalking
After 120-130 strikes in 1 round he's fine if he cracks your chin. Rocking your opponent gives you a huge stamina regen in between roundsComment

Re: Combo Spam
We have fought like 6 times. It’s mainly Cruz vs Garbrandt but yesterday we played at LHW. You were Saki and I was Gus. Then Jones vs Gus.
To be fair, I don’t have a problem with your play style. I only care if you were trying to get rid combos to suit yourself.

nah never that. i know most people who play don’t have the patience to sit back, make reads and take people into the later rounds. that and not mixing it up all the time are my biggest flaws. which is why you calling me out on my overhand-lead uppercut-hook combo is funny to me. i get mad at myself when i get locked into throwing it. i swear i know other combos!!
add me if you’re down to play more. win or lose i won’t talk smack or blame the game lol.

Re: Combo Spam
I completely disagree with any form of additional stamina tax for blocked strikes.
Again, this is a buff to block, and I personally don't want that.
What we need are more ways to force a whiff with footwork, one that'll count as "evaded". This way with a combination of block, head movement, and footwork we can deal with hard combos by making them whiff... That's how we should be trying to drain their stamina.
More on this later.

There could be a nerf along with a buff so it is in balance.Comment

Re: Combo Spam
Look up the ESFL on twitch. I’m LemusKhan. I just fought at ESFL 8 (which you can find in the videos section, one of the last fights) and threw a grand total of like 78 strikes to win a three round decision.
I can also play you if you’re on Xbox.

Re: Combo Spam
Why is there not a severe stamina tax for throwing missed or blocked combos in succession? Combos should be something that you are rewarded for timing with perfection and something you're punished heavily for if you resort to spamming it.
But if anything - my goodness a stamina tax is needed and I'm talking a big adjustment!Comment

Re: Combo Spam
1) Reduced Block break down time
2) Reduced stamina loss on rocks
3) Reduced stamina loss from evaded strikes
4) Increased vulnerability
All of these things paint the picture for pressure combo cheese. It's infuriating that it's easy to see in plain text, but is generally defended when challenged.
Movement speed needs reduced, stamina loss increased and power increased in a general sense. This game would be much better.
Instead we have a TRT Vitor's Blitz 2018!
There's nothing intelligent or high level about Top 100 striking - it's let me beat on your block with 3 alternating combos that if you mistime your interrupt you're paying for it.
Such low risk to spam and alternate combos with immense potential for high reward.Last edited by Find_the_Door; 03-29-2018, 11:24 PM.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

Re: Combo Spam
Of sways - damage. So in a sense when you go to evade using head movement (as it was intended) you're now punished even more when they're spamming combos and sways with alternating patterns.
Just far too safe to spam right now and not enough penalty. We should have to intelligently pick our shots!Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment
