    Fam. People want a mix, people like aspects of both. It isnt worded incorrectly its the options required arent available.

    So yeah people want more of a ud 3 style mechanic added to ufc 3, martial and aholbert have both showed this.

      Ea ufc grappling is system is great . All we need need is ducking ga back on takedowns and lower stamina tax for grapplers (missed takedowns and clinch attempts) coz strikers can throw 500 punches no stam drop . And remove the hud on ranked . This will make the game more about talent and buff grappling in a fair way for the talented players

                When u take the hud away All the haters who complaining about grappling being a meter filling system will have what they finally want . no meter and a realistic looking sim . Let’s give them what they want

                    The ground game and clinch game is great and very detailed if u actually know what ur playing . The hud is only there for help but only ppl who know bjj and wrestling know how to move without it

                      All we need is that ga from ducking back . strikers will always be in advantage till we get this back . And it’s very easy to ko someone with a uppercut when they duckin so it’s more than fair

                        I absolutely hate when I see people say Undisouted grappling is realistic. It may FEEL more intuitive to grappling but the logic itself was very poor, unrealistic and arcadey at heart. It also lacked the depth that the current system has and was riddled with exploits.

                        Any experienced grappler will tell you, you are not stopping any and all closed guard passes by just squeezing your legs together and holding closed guard(holding the stick to the right or left) You also dont get a free pass by simply attempting the same pass 4 times in a row.

                        This goes for almost any grappling exchange. Elite grapplers have to react to their opponents next move accordingly and stay several steps ahead. This logic holds true in the current system, not so much in a system that I can prevent any and all transitions with the same input.

                        From a "feel" standpoint, I get it. But from a realistic meta standpoint, I disagree.

                        That said, I would love to see quite a few changes to build onto the current system to speed up the transition pacing and the ability to actually pre deny in a direction without whiffing at the cost of stamina drain.

                            Yeah I would love it if we could pre deny in a certain direction, and still be able to deny in the other direction if timed appropriately.


                            If it ends up being too easy to deny someone this way, maybe make the denial window smaller if you are pre denying in a certain direction already.


                            These two changes would be great though.

                              what about ground movement? you cant even pull guard in this game . postured down gnp does nothing. ud3s grappling was ahead of its time. many old school mma gamers prefer it. the system was balanced and fair. this doesnt even look or feel like true ground game

                                Nothing about it was ahead of its time. Its simplicity and feel is what wins people over.

                                I cant understand how people who claim to want a simulation game want an over simplified grappling system.

                                Because if we are honest here, the core difference between the two systems is, directional denials vs. denying anything by hugging the right stick. Chess vs. Checkers.

                                There were also huge exploits that existed within Undisputeds grappling year after year that never got fixed such as the punch/flick. It was present in 09, 10 and UD3. Ask youself why this was never fixed.
