Re: Circling Out --- Sprint Option For UFC 4
You miss the point yet again.
What are the scenarios where sim has pull. If comp can come to their own consensus and it overrides everyone else opinion.. it's a divide and conquer tactic.
That's what you are missing. When you go to the reddit the same thing that happens here. You think reddit doesn't have majorities? Casuals have pull, comp has pull. What is sim's pull?
Otherwise this is clear discrimination and preferential treatment.Comment

Re: Circling Out --- Sprint Option For UFC 4
Shoutout to MartialMind though. He pushes just as hard and sometimes even harder than me when it comes to realism based gameplay changes. Thats also not to say that the other GCs dont care at all about realism. They just dont all care as much as me or others here at OS and thats what causes the issues.
To your other point, I wont do this anymore. I'm not going to try to give this site perspective because there are some very vocal people here who are too stubborn to hear it.
Look at how this **** started. I made a throwaway line about how comp players will complain about circling. That was it. One line and it was based on my experience with comp fighters complaining about.....circling. I didnt say I agreed with it. I didnt say circling shouldnt be added. I just stated that comp players were going to complain about running.
All of this **** started from a throwaway line.
I'm the stats and AI GC. Thats my lane. So I'm gonna stay in my lane. If people have a question about that I'll try to answer it. If not, I'm not going to even address it.
Right now this forum gets pretty much zero consistent feedback from any of the devs or the other GCs about anything gameplay related and that will likely continue for a while. Probably until UFC4. So people like my friend can continue to post to their heart's content and continue to get zero feedback. If he's good with that, I'm good too.
With that said, continue to get a consensus Kingslayer. Take your posts to Reddit, Discord, Facebook....wherever. Get people behind your ideas. Devs cant ignore them if you get enough people behind it.Comment

Lol. Nah that’s not true. They play other games like all of us do. I’ve been playing more NBA 2k and Wwe2k recently but that doesn’t mean I want wrestling moves added to ufc4

Re: Circling Out --- Sprint Option For UFC 4
UFC 3 did well in sales. Its still EA's 3rd best sports game when it comes to sales.
UFC 2 appears to have sold much better. Part of that is because it was released at the height of Conor mania and the tale end of Ronda's run. Part of that could be that UT was better in 2.
I think realism=sales isnt the best argument though. The only sports game that supports that is NBA2k and you could argue that Live's drop off wasnt because 2k was hyper realistic (it isnt) and more that Live has been a dumpster fire for the past decade.
The more complete argument is that a realistic game is a better more fun game and to attempt to show that not just hardcore sim heads want the levels of realism we want.Comment

I couldnt disagree more. Fifa barely has fouls in it. I play it because I need the premier league license but it isnt close to being more realistic.Comment

Than PES? Im from Brasil I play and watch soccer since I was a kid, fifa is waaay more realistic than PES and this is the only reason it sells more, because the people mentality changed for a realistic experience...Comment

I dont know how you can call a game that doesnt have fouls (or an ability to add them unless you hack the game on PC) realistic.Comment

Re: Circling Out --- Sprint Option For UFC 4
Thats just not true. FIFA has always sold more worldwide. In fact, the reason its sold more is because EA has a monopoly on the major soccer league licenses. I honestly cant recall a year that PES ever outsold more than Fifa.

About fouls, I didn’t play fifa 19 yet... but the others were fine, sometimes the players do auto foulComment

Re: Circling Out --- Sprint Option For UFC 4
The typical Premier League game has 25 plus fouls called combined and that may be low. The most I saw in Fifa 19 before I tweaked some of the game files on PC was 9 combined.Comment

Meaning that the only fouls that are called are ones that occur from very poor slide tackles and not even those are called consistently. The animations play out as fouls but the refs dont call them.

I actually hopped online yesterday, a foul was given just because of obstruction (got in his way and by doing so pushed him off, no tackle button pressed). Maybe some would think it's horse****, but I kinda liked that it's debatable. There are also fouls through standing tackles and even shirt pulling (if you hold the button). And there's also a bunch of situations where what is given as a foul to one player is or isn't given to the other in all these separate situations. But in terms of sheer number - it's hard to have 25 a game with a clock going so match faster than 90 minutes. But sometimes I have wondered why there aren't enough fouls by the AI lol.
All of that being said - this is far from me defending the game as realistic, it isn't. It's constant action at breakneck speed. Some teams play that way, yes. Even they get tired. Such a pace cannot be maintained for 90 minutes by any team. Defensive football is completely ignored because it's not "fun" and each team gets 10 shots on target each game minimum. Not to mention the scripting.
Are you a Premier League fan then? Who do you support?Comment

Mmmm...yes and no, kinda. The sheer number of fouls isn't the same, true, but keep in mind the clock is really accelerated. You just can't have that many unless the guy does it on purpose or is really bad.

Keep in mind, I play the AI and I've never seen a shirt pulling foul. You also hit the nail on the head that the speed of the game is way too fast even though sliders help.

It is accelerated but I play 15 minutes a half so I should see more than 9 fouls tops, right? Keep in mind, thats 9 in the best case scenario.

As for being an American (presumably) West Ham fan, a proper one too - wow, that's rare!Comment
