Use the Right Thumbstick to try and counter in the clinch. It's really the only way that I can get out of the clinch.

Also tapping the RB makes sure I always block high. Somehow that works for me.

Even blocking the knees hurts, getting out is such a crap shoot. That is the one thing I wish was different

I would say I'm okay when someone has me in it. I just focus on blocking all the knees to the head, occasionally I'll try to block the body blows but I stay focused on a. absorbing as little damage as possible and b. getting out of it.

well, you have a 25% chance of getting out, and really i just faught phobia, he's on the forums and for a bit, he upsessed on doing it, and i guessed it everytime. it comes afterwhile to guess which way there going, i play with a guy on player match thats really good at that, but yah i remember when i would get ready to pull my hair out cus it sucks.

I don't really panic if it's early in the fight because when you have someone in the MT clinch you spend a lot of energy, so you can only do it for so much before you gas yourself out.

I'm learning that the mount is the way to go in online fights. 95% of people playing have no clue how to do any ground transitions, so it's a surefire way to get a win.

Yup, easiest way to do it is choose a BJJ guy, get them in guard, transition to rubber guard, major transition to mount, win fight by KO. It actually gets kinda boring after a while, the good thing is when you get a guy who can give you a challenge once in a while. I faced a guy who was 43-8 and had a great battle, he as GSP and I as Penn. I ended up winning in the 3rd round I think, and later one we met up again and I won again. This guy was really good at reversing transitions, so I think I was more worried than he was when I had him in the mount.

it really intimidate me when people know the ground game, even though i know every move, but it just makes you think to outsmart his moves. i really need to get better at top ground combo's, i'm getting pretty good but really it sucks when you get stuck in one and you just watch your stanima fly down. but it really does take a good perception of all the combos to know the reach, quickness and placement. or of course when you get beat by it, they depreciate the fact by from which they lost and call it ''body spamming'' (also, in realistic fights, so called body spamming is true, they get one punch in and go at it, then step back. check out machida)

What's the trick for reversing transitions? Is it just flicking the right stick as soon as you see your opponent going for the transition, or does it have to be a flick in a specific direction?

flick when you see them going to move. I don't believe direction matters - but by habit I always flick or hold to the right.

Thanks. I'm always holding right to block transitions, which works well, but I wasn't sure how to reverse them.

I'm also probably the only person in the world who struggles to be effective from the full mount. I can usually get guys there pretty easily, but then I seem to spend the entire time transition blocking so they don't get out. I get the odd punch in, but inevitably they slip out when I try to strike. Any tips?

Man, When you have a guy open guard ontop of you, is your only moves striking, covering your head, and pressing RSB? Because none of thoose work to well, and that how I always loose...

Also, do submissions automaticly go or do you need to press a button (Other then RSB, of course) because I always get them yet everyone seems to be able to break out of it.

Strike him. Block. When he tries to transition block it and hit him again. Repeat. The key is your not going to get more than one strike in if he goes crazy trying to transistion out.

No transition out. A minor will pull him to you (open guard down) and a major will stand you both up.

Submissions, do you just click and then do nothing else? Once you put in on you have to button mash or spin the stick to lock it in. If you doing that and its not working, your not waiting till they drain their energy enough.

well, i prefer, taking them to the rubber gaurd, thats where its at, then make your way around to mount.
