If Ronda did back out of Vegas and we know her and Nick are tight, it could be the ONLY thing to bring some kind of discussions on this matter.
Yep. If Ronda refused, that could move the needle a little but thats a hell of a sacrifice.

          Wow.

Uriah Hall with the vicious finish of Gegard there. Yikes

It just shows how good Hall can be and how mediocre Gegard can be.

Hall gets to stay in the UFC. He can be exciting, he just needs to fight smart and he may be able to move his way up.

Moose is done. So much wasted talent. I thought he could be a UFC champ, but he just doesn't have it. Never trained where he needed too, never focused enough, etc. All that talent and he will stay around 10 forever after he rises and falls back down.

Nelson needs to retire. He is tough, but he won't fix his cardio issues. I thought the doctor should have stopped the fight because he was too tired. Let him go fight in Bellator, doubt people would care.

Barnett had a good game plan and killed him in the clinch. Would have loved to see him on top, but looked like he didn't want to risk it. Roy tried laying on him, but the ref did a good job of standing it up.

That kick was awesome. Hall just need to be consistent and develop a killer instinct. If he does that he would be deadly.

Basically the UFC is saying we will be holding an event, either you will pass the law or you will lose out on the tax income. If the UFC gets the injunction, then look for the law to pass right after that, those politicians won't give up on tax money.

The only potential negative is what happened in Hawaii could happen in NY. In Hawaii, they legalized MMA but they made the tax and insurance requirements so high that its damn near impossible to make a profit holding an event in Hawaii. Thats why even with Hawaiian fighters like BJ Penn, Max Holloway and Travis Browne, the UFC has never held an event there.

With that said, the UFC shouldve down this a year ago. Theyve known about this loophole since 2013 but wanted to rely on the assembly to pass the law.

They didn't have the votes before and like you said it could push them to make the fees too high. Now that they basically have the votes, it will force them to vote early in the year and they can get a card scheduled .... UFC 200 ???? although Vegas would be pissed about that.

At least we should know something by early next year.

I was thinking the same thing but the MGM would kill them. UFC 200 is supposed to be the first event at the new MGM Arena and the UFC cant afford to burn that bridge.

I would love it though because I can drive to NY and wont have to fly to Vegas.

Jon Jones receives no jail time.
Supervised probation up to 18 months. I miss having Bones around. I wonder if there is any timetable in place for him coming back?

It depends on him. The UFC will likely reinstate him in the next few weeks. I wouldnt be surprised if it was this week so that they could have him faceoff with the winner of this weekends fight after the fight.

The Super Bowl weekend card is open so I could see that being the return date if everyone stays healthy.
