LMAO did Thiago smoke a joint before that 3rd round? I don't know what the hell he was doing there. Entertaining though.

If Silva would have worry more about capitalizing rather than mocking Rashad he may have won that fight.

Really pathetic display by Silva. Your gameplan gets neutralized so you try to taunt a guy into a mistake instead of going after him?
Disgusting. Smart of Rashad to just back off. He dominated this fight. Credit to Thiago for having enough ground defense to keep getting up, but the whole fight was combo into takedown. Rashad's reaction time was amazing this fight.
Silva didn't "go all out" because he was scared of being taken down and counter punched. Aside from the one punch after Rashad had the fight won already, Silva was countered every single time he threw a punch.Comment

Re: UFC 108: Evans v. T Silva
Well that was a pretty boring fight.
Rashad holds him against the fence, drops him and then gets brought back up only to repeat... Does no damage at all during it and does nothing on his feet.
Thiago finally gets his shot and then just taunts him instead of attacking.
Was looking forward to that fight all week too; but lots of great fights earliest at least.Comment

Yeah, you got to give Shad all the credit in the world for not getting baited into a slug fest in the 3rd. Very smart move on his part.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Well that was a nice card. Good start to 2010.
Please get Rampage/Rashad done ASAP. Nevermind the training, these guys would throw down tomorrow if they could. I just can't wait any longer. I feel like a little kid counting down the days till Christmas.Last edited by BlueNGold; 01-03-2010, 01:31 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: UFC 108: Evans v. T Silva
I thought the fight was pretty entertaining personally. Rashad fought a smart fight for the first two rounds and stamped out anything Thiago wanted to do. That was impressive to me. I thought the foolishness Thiago did was kind of funny, but it just showed that Rashad had him frustrated and defeated. When his antics actually caught him a break and he stunned Rashad, seeing him continue to clown at that point was a little disappointing. If Thiago was a little mentally stronger this fight, he would've chilled wtih the theatrics and tried to finish a fight that he was losing.Comment

Re: UFC 108: Evans v. T Silva
Several times, Rashad ducked into a takedown ON REACTION. That is sick, man. Especially against top competition. He did it dry, and he did it out of a combination. As soon as Thiago threw a punch, Rashad ducked into a takedown. At other moments, Rashad threw clean combinations and then ducked into a takedown the VERY second Thiago countered.
That is elite level skill, man. Most guys do those things in predetermined motions like robots. When you can keep punching until a guy counter punches, and then react fast enough with the take down, you are SHARP, my man.
Thiago is good enough and strong enough to get out of trouble, but in this fight that is all he did besides make an *** out of himself.Comment
