I agree with your perspective Sim. I think you are perfectly correct about punch accuracy being the real issue and not the fact that the power shots do big damage. I also think a big factor of why power shots are thrown so much is the lack of stamina they burn. You should lose tons of stamina on throwing big bombs. Especially combos of power shots. You should be winded after a flurry of those. I think the full retail will have it toned down more so than the demo though honestly/

I'm not even done. This one goes back to the uselessness of wrestling. (Not that anyone was debating the stand ups are too fast.)
I entirely forgot to mention on Saturday I also made a note to pay attention to stand ups in the Kos/Daley fight. There weren't any. Kos laid on him for a lot more than 10 seconds without doing anything and there was only one warning from the backmount at that.
As I said in the boxing forum they sure got the martial part down but it's lacking the mixed and arts bits.
AND speaking of Don Frye I dunno how I forgot this, this would probably the be the record for power shots to the face without a KO (turn off the sound):

You wanna see a fight of a guy taking 5-6 power shots without folding? He'll I'll give 5-6 minutes of power shots. Watch tim Sylvia vs cabbage correia. One of the most lopsided and brutal fights I've seen in ufc.Comment

Dude, are you seriously saying that KO's should not happen in the first round again? I think you guys are missing what the real issues are, and it's not the KO's. I hope that you do know that if you get caught with a clean power punch that you will probably go down. The problem with the game is the accuracy, speed, and placement of those power shots. In real life, it is very difficult to land the perfectly placed power shots that you see in the demo.
So, if they add more missed punched animations, and shots that graze you, then that would address part of the problem, and deter you from being so aggressive. In regards to a patch: punch accuracy and fatigue.
I feel that the demo does allow fighters to display pinpoint accuracy most of the time, which appears to be the catalyst for the debate. Fatigue is also a major contributing factor. Maybe if the punches were less accurate, and fatigue was calculated properly, then we would not be having this debate.
It is funny how those individuals that dispute the notion of your claims, are probably those that enjoy arcade style fighting games. To each his own, but I am with you Sim: I prefer realism any day, and all day. Do not even waste your time debating with people that love arcade style gaming, they really are unable to see things from a "sim" perspective.
I am still enjoying the demo, and will continue to keep my guard up, sway, counter and circle my opponent. Those options really do help you avoid big punches in the demo.Comment

This is the best observation that I have read, and you are totally correct IMO. It reminds me of why Mike Tyson was so good. It was based on the fact that he had great power, speed, and accuracy with his punches.

The demo was ok for me, but as someone who played the crap out of 2009, it just feels so much the same. I'm tired of sports games in general that are just the same crap every year....which is all sports games. I think I'll get this every few years instead.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Really? Because the second I played the demo it felt like a completely new game. I honestly don't see where it feels so much the same as 2009; The stand up feels entirely different, the ground is way different, the clinch game, the fence, etc, etc.
Other than submissions it feels nothing like 2009 to me.
It reminds me of the jump Madden 94 had to 95 and Sonic 1 to Sonic 2...Comment
