Re: UFC 121 - Lesnar vs. Velasquez
nice beard...the first of the three part Lesnar vs. Velasquez countdown show is on tonight.
Funny how the UFC is marketing this PPV as a potential crowning of Velasquez as the first Mexican HW champion in fighting history.

LOL..I actually think its smart marketing. I'm actually kind of shocked that there are still tix available for this one. Especially with the mexican population in CA and Brock as a headliner.Comment

Re: UFC 121 - Lesnar vs. Velasquez
It's cool that Cain trains in San Jose. I used to live about ten minutes from where he trains. Drove past that church all the time.
I kind of have to agree with Cain's trainer. He definitely has more weapons and more experience in the octagon. I just don't know if that will usurp Brock's size and strength. I can't wait to see how it plays out.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 10-06-2010, 10:34 PM.Comment

If it does, then Brock is done.

Re: UFC 121 - Lesnar vs. Velasquez
The key fight to look at when deciding who will win this fight is the Kongo/Cain fight. Cain showed a somewhat suspect chin in that fight and the only reason he was able to win was because he took Kongo down after everytime he was rocked. Cain hasnt fought anyone with significant power since that fight (Rothwell and Nog arent great strikers) and I think Brock is a more powerful striker then Kongo.
Everybody talks about Cain's cardio but it isnt like Brock has shown that his cardio is weak. Both Cain and Brock have been in one 3 round fight and Brock never showed signs of gassing in the two 2 rounders he fought against Mir and Couture.Comment

I personally think Brock is going to overwhelm Cain and pick up a tko stoppage in the second or third round.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
