Exactly. Has Herring even fought since that beating?
His knock, is that he doesnt have good technique, but he does have a lot of power.

          Nope he hasn't.
With Brock's great wrestling I'd say that more than makes up for lack of technique in striking. Gets in trouble just take 'em down.

Plus, he still has great power.
I personally think he drops cain in rd 1 or 2 and finishes with some gnp.

UFC announced on it's weekly Ultimate Insider show Thursday that a three-part Primetime series will air on Spike TV in the weeks leading up to the fight.

Awesome news. I've really enjoyed the Primetimes they've done so far and am really looking forward to Brock/Cain's version.

I think Cain beats Brock and he does it in brutal fashion.

Brock isn't just going to be able to double leg Cain and put him on the floor with ease. Cain has cardio for days unlike Carwin whose cardio was always in question as he never, ever got past the first round.

Brock has good power, but the way he just turtled the moment Carwin hit him makes me feel as if he's scared to strike and get hit. Now, Cain doesn't have the power of Carwin, so maybe Lesnar won't turtle up, but I can easily see Cain landing plenty standing on Brock. Brock's boxing isn't very technical. Speed kills and Cain's got plenty of it.

I think Cain finishes the fight in the second round. Brock's tough but Cain is going to put the heat on him, and this time not gas out like Carwin. If Lesnar gets on top though, all bets are off. Lesnar on top is scary for anyone. I actually like Brock a lot and picked him to beat Carwin too, but Cain is the guy that I thought would be the HW Champion for awhile. Brock will probably be the favorite heading into the fight, but if you're a betting man, I like Cain a lot. I can't wait for this fight though.

And if Kongo was well-rounded, he would be a top 5 HW. But, sadly, he's not. Cain has also improved leaps and bounds since that fight, and Lesnar will have improved a ton since his fight with Shane.

I'm sorry, X, but I just don't see this. Even if Cain possesses excellent stuffing technique, regardless of how good his cardio may be, he will get taken down. As a matter of fact, strikes and kicks open you up to the take-down. So, unless Brock wants to prove to the world that he can win on striking alone, Cain will be taken down, and on the ground is likely where he'll lose.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised to see Brock get taken down this fight. its funny that everybody considers Cain a striker but both fighters have almost identical wrestling credentials. Both were 2 time All Americans in college and both won titles as heavyweights. Cain has wrestled some of the most accomplished big boys but also has a great stand up game and fantastic cardio . I think Cain is the more well rounded fighter. I also see him ending this in the 2nd.

Also though, brock will have a 25-35 weight advantage, not counting whatever else he gains after weigh ins.
Granted he has faced big m'fers in wrestling, but that is just wrestling, not mma.

It's not an if Cain possesses excellent stuffing technique, he does. He's an All-American wrestler, just like Brock.

If Brock wants a takedown, he's gonna have to get within striking distance of Cain. He's not gonna be able to shoot in from a mile away and not get punished for it. I don't care if Brock weighs 25 - 35 lbs. more, he's going to have to get within reasonable distance to shoot to get his takedown. Not like he's trying to takedown Frank Mir or Heath Herring.

Sure, Brock might get the takedown and win on top. I definitely think that could be a possibility. It's not gonna be easy though.. and in that mean time, what's he gonna do if he can't get the first takedown? He didn't get it on Shane until Shane gassed himself out.

Cain's finishing GnP on Nog was masterful though too. Perfect precision on the strikes. Every single one seemingly landed.

                          Really?

Arizona State and Iowa Central Community College < University of Minnesota.
                          All-American < Champion.

At the end of the day it will probably just come down to Brocks superior wrestling skills and the extra 30 pounds that he uses to lay on people and wear them out. Regardless of who wins, I am very excited to watch the fight.

                            I said almost identical.

Brock went to Bismark State Junior College and won the NJCAA National championship. He then went to the University of Minnesota. He was a two time All American and won the 2000 NCAA National championship.

Cain went to Iowa Community College and won 2 NJCAA National championships there. Then went to Arizona State was a two time All American and had a best finish of 4th in the NCAA National championship.

Pretty damn close if you ask me. Obviously Brock won a national championship and Cain didn't but their college wrestling careers are both impressive and "relatively" identical.

Also all these credentials are on the individual national level. So it doesn't matter what college they went to. In the end they had to compete with the best individuals in college.

I do agree it should be a great fight.

Cain had to face much tougher competition when he wrestled than Lesnar did. Cain had to go up against Cole Konrad who is arguably one of the top collegiate wrestlers of all time.

I think that Cain's speed and precise striking will ultimately kill Brock's power.
