King Mo is an even more undeveloped Phil Davis to me, plus isn't he close with Evans?

Mousasi would be cool but like someone said he's just about to fight this weekend. Plus he's with M-1 I'm sure that would be a headache trying to figure things out, I'm not quite sure how M-1 is going to play into merging SF fighters into the UFC.

Jardine? Hahaha come on that fight is not happening for a countless amount of reasons.

Only thing is wouldn't that make the main event Ace/Little Nog? I can't see that selling very well.

From what I can gather, it sounds like @TitoOrtiz is reconsidering the possibility of stepping in and facing Rashad Evans. #UFC133

True, they need Evans to stay on the card.

Only other option aside from Tito that I can think of would be Matyushenko. Unless they are able to work out a deal with showtime and get Feijao.

Obviously they have to hope for Tito because neither Vladdy or Feijao/Mousasi are well known enough to headline a card.

LOL. You know Jardine and Evans arent fighting. They will probably push Rich Franklin up from the Co-Main and find a new opponent for Lil' Nog.

I dont see anything wrong with Tito getting the fight under the circumstances, he deserves it more then Phil Davis did imo. Tito was an idiot to turn the fight down initially, Evans hasnt fought in a year so hes gonna be rusty which should offset the quick turnaround for whoever takes the fight and its not like a 36 year old Tito has time on his side so he should be taking fights as quickly as possible.

I dont know why he would guarantee Machida a shot with a win over Evans anyway. After Rampage, that winner should be next in line

I think this is a win win for Tito. He's going to get a huge payday and if he beats Evans, he's probably going to get a title shot. Even if he loses, I'm sure there is an agreement that he can't be cut. Ortiz is also going to be a huge underdog so most expect him to lose anyways.

I think Rashad easily wins this one.

Rashad is much faster than Tito and should be able to easily outstrike him if necessary.

No longer care for this fight. Don't like either. I'm rooting for a double KO.

Re: UFC 133, Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz-- 8/6/11

So apparently Machida turned it down, not for any of the bs reasons about time constraints or what have you, but because he wanted a huge payday similar to what Anderson Silva gets paid and the UFC rejected it.
And the UFC had no intention of giving it to him.
When Phil Davis dropped out of his scheduled UFC 133 main event fight against Rashad Evans, a replacement was needed to salvage a fight card that was already lacking in hype to begin with.
Once Tito Ortiz initially turned the fight down (he has since reconsidered), the powers that be put in a call to Brazil to ask Lyoto Machida if he was willing to step in.
Apparently he was -- but only if the UFC was willing to pay him "Anderson Silva money." That's according to The MMA Show, who got the scoop directly from Dana White.
The response to Machida's demand was simple: "Accomplish what Anderson Silva has and you will be paid like him."
Sounds harsh, but White and company didn't make their millions by kowtowing to fighters and not playing hardball at the negotiating table.
