His reach advantage won't work against a fighter like Machida. Machida will evade the long range strikes all day and come in with counter strikes. Jones had to come in close to deal his damage. He'll probably have to do the same against Rashad.

Be a striker.

The openings are there (always have been), he just finds a way to get away with them right now. Bones is still raw skill-wise. When Anderson moves up (or Bones has to move up to Heavyweight and fight someone like Dos Santos), we will know how he holds up.

A striker who also has incredible takedown defense. You can see that Machida was able to get the better of the standup, but once Jones gets in close, he's putting you up against the cage or on the ground. If you're able to put a standing guillotine on a fighter the caliber of Machida, its just not fair.

It's going take someone catching him to beat him most likely. Machida got a few shots in because he is quick. Hendo has the power to KO him, but he also may not get close to landing any clean shots on Jones.
