I could see a really good wrestler much bigger than him beating him by decision. It's just difficult to get close to a guy who has inhuman reach.

Yeah I knew it would be over if Jones grabbed a hold of Machida. Machida is a fast dude, but as soon as he got caught along the cage I knew it was the beginning of the end.

And when that cut happened, you seen Machida's will power leak out of his forehead. That sub was so tight I was surprised his head didn't come off.

That guy doesn't exist in the UFC right now, possibly the world. Jones is pushing the limits at size and reach for a 205'er.

Lol I agree, at least not in the LHW division. I think a Chael Sonnen V Silva approach could beat Jones. Don't see anyone right now that could do it. But I agree striking is probably the way to do it. Yet his reach is still so much of an advantage

Edit: By Bigger I mean stronger, but Jones stills manhandles guys as he has that type of wiry strength

Technically, Bader and Rampage were stronger then Jones on paper.

                Re: UFC 140 - Jones v. Machida- Dec. 10

Uhh, people do know that before Jon Jones went on his tear through the LHW elites, that he was eating up and spitting out some very high quality wrestlers right?

Matt Hamill, the Janitor, and even Jake O'Brien are very good wrestlers. Sure, they don't have much else, but Bones was ragdolling those guys with ease before stepping into deeper waters. I have a very, VERY hard time seeing him getting dumped on his back for 5 rounds.

(Jon Jones also was very highly touted in wrestling too and had he not gotten his girlfriend pregnant would've gone to wrestle at Iowa State I think..)

I wanna see Rashad vs Jon Jones. Hopefully Rashad takes care of business against Phil Davis and we can see that fight. Lyoto fought hard and fought well tonight; it just so happens to be that Jones is a prodigy.

I also don't think there's anyone out there that can stop a Jon Jones takedown unless that's literally all you intend to do. By that time, Bones will be picking you apart with his reach advantage.

I think Rashad is the only fighter on the landscape that has a shot at Jones, unless A. Silva moves up to LHW in the next few minutes.

What a night of fights. Mir Snapping Big Nog's arm, and Machida making it interesting before Jones goes into phase 2 of his strategy. Not to mention Zombie making a fool out of Hominick trying to cheap shot him.

All these guys like Bader and Hamill are not contenders though. They are good wrestlers, good fighters but their wrestling has not made any of them contenders. Well Hamill was close to a title shot once but that didn't go so well.

Rashad better beat the hell out of Phil Davis, I'm trying to see him get this belt. Even though I fear he could end up on another highlight reel, I also think he has the best style to take the champ out. Speed kills. I don't want to hear anything about Hendo, Jones will bust his old *** up. If Rashad doesn't do it, that division is Jones for a long time.

Then there are no such fighters out there that fit your bill outside of MAYBE Rashad.

I guess you can include King Mo or Phil Davis though, but only Rashad has a good, well rounded game while King Mo and Phil Davis are still rounding out their skills.

Maybe when Bones moves up to HW Daniel Cormier could fit your bill.

Just got back from Buffalo Wild Wings with a few friends, we had a great time. When Tito dropped people were happy and when Mir subbed Nog on the replay a ton of people were like ouch.
Jones has an amazing top choke game.
