Same here. The last boxing PPV u watched was Mayweather vs. De La Hoya. That's the night I realized that boxing just didn't interest me.

As for this deal it is E P I C. Especially, the Friday night deal. It's pretty genius when you think about it. The NFL and NCAA owns the TV market right now and will soon have games every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday's are there for the taking and the UFC is smart to capitalize on that.

I think Lesnar vs. Mir is the perfect fight for the first main event. Lesnar has the name recognition to sell the fight and Mir has the mouth.

Ortiz and MacDonald said they want 1 more fight before the year is over. I expect MacDonald on the Toronto card. I'm assuming Ortiz wants a full 12 week camp so I don't think he would fight on Nov 12th.

Lesnar said he's healthy but I think he would want a full camp too. Dana White on Sportsnet said there was a chance he would fight on the Toronto card.

A potential Nov 12 card could be:

      Machida vs. Davis
      Lil Nog vs Franklin
      Maia vs. Silva
      Patrick vs. Kim
Henderson v. Guida could work since I expect his medical suspension to be lifted by then.

After taking a step back, yeah having guys that can speak English in the main event is very important. Fox and the UFC is going to put a lot of promotional muscle behind the first card. The UFC is probably going to offer up the main event fighters to every mainstream news/sports outlet that wants an interview.

I'm surprised ESPN had no interest in the UFC. They lost out on the Olympics and NHL to NBC so I know they had the money to make a good offer. Perhaps the Suits at Disney still consider the UFC to be too violent for ESPN/ABC.

Yeah its the Disney factor. They seem way more conservative than Fox.

There's no way ESPN would let Dana and company run their shows the way they want to. No way.

What they could do is get Brock vs Mir or Overeem and then sign Dan Henderson to fight Lyoto Machida. Now that would be a card that could compete with Pac.

That's a fight I would love to see. It has fight of the year potential and a title shot is on the line. Henderson would haven't have enough time for a full training camp though. I think a promise of a title shot if he wins and more sponsorship money should be enough for him to accep the fight.

              Lesnar vs. Mir
              Machida vs. Davis
              Henderson vs. Guida
              Maia vs. Silva

This would be a stacked card.

If Lesnar and Machida fight on the Fox event, the Toronto card is going to be ****.

Thats would absolutely work. Henderson v. Machida is a great co-main. Brock v. Overeem is a huge headliner but I dont know if I want Brock to face a striker on that level yet. Brock v. Schaub or Nog could work too.

A lot more get Versus than Fuel. Versus is on the top 5 major cable/sat systems. Fuel is only on 3.

According to Steve Cofield at Yahoo, Lesner/Mir is the rumored Main Event for the Fox card

Too predictable and makes too much $ense

Now sign Overeem and/or Dan Henderson

Get Guida and Bendo to sign

And we can call it a day

From the articles over at Bloody Elbow, it looks like we can rule out Lesnar and Hendo for the Fox Card.

Damn that sucks. Overeem vs. Mir maybe? I don't know if the causal fan would care too much about that Main Event though.

Yikes. That's not a good look then.

As long as they get Bendo v Guida that will be decent

Looking at the articles, Lesnar is out but Henderson isn't. He just says he would like to fight in December. With the right amount of money, I could see him moving that up a couple of weeks.

Still after watching Dana's interview with Ariel, I'm not sure the November fight card is going to be a massive one. He called it a bonus card meaning that technically its not a part of the new Fox deal. This card is a part of the current TV deal that allows them to put fights on broadcast TV.
