No. I wish they'd have made it so that instead of forcing you to retire after 48 fights, they'd just make your stuff deteriorate after a certain age or a certain amount of damage you've taken over time and let you decide when you retire.

That's disappointing to hear. And I couldn't agree more with your comment.
They could make your aging dependant on how many fights you've had, how many wars you've been in.
Look at someone like Randy Coutoure. He was able to fight for so long because he rarely took any bad punishment (until he got much older).
Other guys hit a wall much quicker because they like to trade.

It's mind-boggling that we still don't have something like this. It's 2012 for crying out loud.
How much longer do we have to say "Maybe next-gen..."?

I just finished my first career on ufc 3 and am really impressed. i played on advanced and finished 48-0 in the light heavy weight class. i have started a new career on expert in the bantamweight class with a submission specialist. i am really enjoying expert since it forces you to think things thru as you fight and not try to rush into anything. i am currently 10-0 and will be trying to stay in the wfa until i feel my guy is solid enough to take on the ufc stars.

so far ive convinced about 5 friends to buy this game just from them listening to me play. im def having a blast with it.

I wish there were more WFA fighters tho, I tried to stay in the WFA until I had atleast a 80 OVR but I got tired of fighting the same guys over and over.

Now I am fighting guys that are 15 points higher than me, I'm so lucky I started on advance!

Was thinking about playing another career on Ultimate but its not worth it to me. Event mode is where its at.

Looking to buy this game soon and am wondering if it is better to buy it new or save some coin and get it used. Is there any content I would be missing if I bought it used?

i think buying it new will get you a fighters pack and an overeem code and also the online pass. buying used you would need to pay for an online pass i believe.

You only get the Overeem code if you did their Facebook promotion months ago or you buy their season ticket for $16. He doesn't come with the game automatically, he is DLC.

Yeah the reason why they made that page last week was because the Facebook promo thing lost damn near all the emails from months ago, so they had to scramble to make a new page and ask for people emails again.

I just started my 1st career. I picked welterweight, experienced and sim. I'm pretty decent on experienced but not so much on Advanced. I figure I'll play through this time and for my next career, I'll up the difficulty.

I just watched an awesome UFC 130 Fight Card for my Career mode and it didn't save when I backed out!! UGH!!

About 33-4 in my Advanced WW career.
Record is only that good because I observed a few things that the AI doesn't do well: They cannot defend against push kicks, the ducking hook, double underhook suplex to side control, and takedowns against the cage very well.
Of course this is advanced so you can also get away with spamming transitions. That habit is going to kill me once I move to Expert and they AI starts reversing more often.
Also to be fair, I think there's something odd with the difficulty setting in career mode. I played a lot of title mode and even on the Experienced, I had much more losses. On Advanced, I get eliminated a lot.

Overall, I'm enjoying the game. Look forward to the tweaks coming in the patch.

Which camp did you guys pick to train at when the time came? I'm a kickboxer/striker but I don't know if one of the camps has better moves or advantages over the others.

I went to Black House just because they have some great fighters. I don't know what that advantages of going there were though.

Am I the only one getting the dlc cant be found message when I try to use them ? Or no talking from Rogan and Goldberg?
