I dont do CPU v. CPU because those are unbalanced and I find that boring. If I wanted a true CPU v. CPU sim, I would just buy one of the text sim games that do a great job of simulating MMA.

I book fights and fight the CPU. I also follow the UFC's schedule so if it has an event, I set one up. That alone is the reason I was able to play 2009 and 2010 until the new versions came out.

Might try this. Do you have a method as far as picking which fighter to use in a fight?

what i do is flip a coin best out of 3
red corner=heads
blue corner = tails

Question, does your fighter deteriorate over time? Will their attributes dip as you get older?

The game saves just about every match you play from what I've seen so you can go back and find the highlight of it to record when she's not around.

What makes you guys choose between going for minor transition versus major transition versus modifier transition?

I always do a major for some reason.. unless my guy is really tired. I only switch up to minors when my majors keep getting blocked.

Nice. My UFC Universe is what keeps things fresh for me too. Normally, I'm all about offline Event Mode and I still will be, I'm just waiting on some nice CAF's and the fighter packs to be released before I start my own.

Right now me and a buddy of mine have create our on little online universe. It's actually fairly easy to run. We just both joined a fight camp for the sole purpose of fighting each other. Once we set up all the rules we had a draft. We each drafted 4 guys per division (limited to two top eight guys per division). When we have an undrafted vs. undrafted fight we usually work something out. The guys we draft our are locked picks and the only way the other person can use them is if it's a #1 contender or title match against two of our on guys. If we win with an undrafted fighter then you get first dibs on them in their next fight.

We use an updated copy of the spreadsheet that I posted a week or so ago and have adopted some "house rules". We've only had two events so far, but I'll attach a current copy of the file for you guys with Excel to check out. This is a really fun way to keep things fun and fresh and is great for online and offline play.

I typically go with the fighter I would prefer fighting with or who I like better. The coin flip works too though.

make sure you are straight left or straight right. dont be off center.

Just an update on the CAF glitch. I just finished a career with Dustin Poirier. I set the difficulty on Ultimate and simmed all the matches/training. When he retired his record was pretty bad. He only won around 26-27 fights and was rated 81. As soon as it was over, I did the glitch and I was able to make him an 88 and had a ton of points to spare. The whole process took about an hour to an hour and a half.

The moral of the story is you don't actually have to do the training yourself and wins and losses don't really matter. You can still rate your CAF how ever you want without doing wasting your time on the training drills.

I was horrible with blocking transitions until I found one helpful hint...

When your on the bottom, you can hold the RS to the left or right the entire time your on the ground. This will wrap your legs around your opponent and block his transitions. From there, I always do a major transition.. and my ground game has never been better.

No. I wish they'd have made it so that instead of forcing you to retire after 48 fights, they'd just make your stuff deteriorate after a certain age or a certain amount of damage you've taken over time and let you decide when you retire.

I just got robed...
It was a championship match between a.silva vs munoz(me)
For the 1st minute of every round he get the best out of me striking so I take him down and GNP him into a pile of his one blood for at least 4 minutes each round we go to decision and all 3 judges have it 48-47 silva. ... Hm I feel you nick Diaz.. I'll try tO upload the fight so you guys can decide ...but I remember reading something about the judges in this games screwing up like they do in real life ..that's pretty kool

This has happened to me a couple times. I posted a couple days ago about how the judges sometimes don't give any love to the ground game.
