I agree however your example is extremely rare to see. Most times the fighter on bottom is holding on just praying for a stand up. To me the fighter on bottom should get a yellow card in these situations.

I agree. If someone has top control and isnt being clinched its rare to see them not throwing punches or trying to advance their position. That usually only happens if a guy gets rocked, gets a takedown and is just trying to run out the clock.

I picture Rashad Evans trying to high five Nogueria the whole first round while reading this.

Can someone remind me what the yellow card meant. Was it just a warning? Did you lose a point? Does a red card equal a disqualification?

They lost 10% of their purse when they got yellow carded.

You also got stood up or separated and sort of started the fight over since you both went back to your corners and were told to fight, again.

Did the 10% go to your opponent or Pride?

                      So on Sherdog...

I just watched Nick Diaz do a speed bag workout for 23 minutes. Do boxers usually do that? It seemed absolutely ridiculous. Well probably more ridiculous on my part for watching 23 minutes of him hitting a bag but still....

Also some pre-fight facts, I found some of them interesting

                      1. UFC 158 is the first event in UFC history where the top three bouts on the card feature a fighter coming off a win vs. one coming off a loss.

                      3. Diaz is the seventh fighter in UFC history to fight for an undisputed title after a loss, joining Randy Couture, Andrei Arlovski, Mauricio Rua, Dan Henderson, B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar.

                      7. If St. Pierre fights to a decision, he will be just 39-seconds behind B.J. Penn for the most total fight time in UFC history.

                      8. All five of Diaz's UFC defeats are by decision.

                      12. St. Pierre holds the current UFC record for most consecutive minutes of fighting without a finish while still earning a victory at 125.
Are you hungry for some UFC knowledge? Good, because MMAmania.com has you covered with 23 facts about UFC 158: “St. Pierre vs. Diaz,” which is scheduled for this Saturday (March 16, 2013) from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Lol. I watched him hit the speedbag for about 4 minutes before I had my fill. You have Nick Diaz endurance. Not sure how long boxers usually train on it, but it made me tired looking at it.

Diaz isn't going to get to use any of his boxing

I wouldn't be surprised if he spent less than 2 total minutes boxing with Georges

More then likely GSP is going to take Nick Diaz down again and again. GSP not going to want any part of Nick's stand up. Is it weird I am more pumped for this fight then I was for the super bowl ?

This fight is going to look exactly like the Bendo/Nate fight imo, GSP taking him down at will, out striking him, and overall beating his *** while Nick complain yet showing no offense.
