I believe lack of that is one of the reason why he is leaving. We're back in 2007.

This is a nice read..It explains alittle more behind CM Punk possibly leaving. I do think at times he was way to vocal.

Punk does have a point about the part-time wrestlers. So good for him.

But I think he was just burned out. Dude has been going hard for a number of years. Time to take a break...just not sure he'll be back.

If he truly walks out in his contract especially right before mania it's highly unprofessional. **** taking a stand, you got a contract and people show up expecting to see you perform and that's what you do?

              My immediate thoughts are

              A) That HHH/Bryan could be awesome. Because that's the only contingency plan that makes sense.

              And

B ) It's gonna suck to be AJ for awhile.

Im holding out hope that he quit specifically so they wouldn't do a stupid Punk HHH match and did a Bryan HHH match instead. It would be the ultimate unselfish move of all time (wrestling wise) if so.

It probably hit him that he entered the RR first and lasted all the way to the near end only to get pulled out by a lame Kane moment. And Batista worked for 10 minutes and is headlining Wrestlemania. It probably took him over the edge later that night when he reflected on things. Also I would be less than enthused if they told me I was gonna have a feud with Kane at this point in my(CM Punk's) career and Kane's.

Yeah whatever. So if you're a punk fan and show up to see him and he no shows, you'd just chalk it up to that?

It's the principle of it to me, I hate quitters. Same way I hate how LeBron quit on Cleveland. But he served his contract at least. If this move really went down like reports say, punk really is classless and only cares about himself.

He has seemed burned out for the last several months, but that could also have just been caused by frustration. He seems like the type that would be more upset than any of the fans about things like the Batista situation. I'm sad to see him go though.

I don't look at this (or most other things) as that black or white. I've never lived the life of a wrestler so won't pretend to understand their breaking points.

I paid money a couple Mondays ago to see Daniel Bryan and CM Punk wrestle, didn't happen, o well.

If he did this more along Killa's route (for a greater cause) I'm glad most don't just sit and refuse to stand for something because a contract dictates as much.

Now, if he did it for the SCSA reason, then you have a point.

Saw one thing that said he's pissed about not being the man still, which I can see but at the same time it's not like he's curtain jerking or being buried left and right. Punk still is/was in high profile storylines. But things still being "status quo" surely upset him. But at the end of the day you don't walk out. I feel that way with any job, you don't just walk out when people are counting on you to be there and serve your contract. I can't respect that even if there is a greater good.

There are other ways of making your point which would look better.

If you know you are going to leave no matter what they offer you, wrestle the last 6 months of your deal, have some fun, take a few risks to have great and then spend the last month or two in a feud putting on great matches with emerging talent to help get them super-over.

That way you will leave on a good note, people will thank you for it and you won't burn any bridges.

If it is not a work then I struggle to understand Punk's mentality. I get that everyone wants to be at the top of the card, but threatening to quit every time you aren't for a month or two is pretty lousy.

Probably explains why he goes from girlfriend to girlfriend.

Given how he's been booked lately I doubt this will hurt the WWE too much other then quality of matches going down a bit.

He still was a high profile guy, probably the most over face other than Bryan and Cena. I don't see how you say it doesn't hurt them that much.
