And that makes it okay for him to pick up his ball and go home because he isn't getting his way? Good to know.

Is it really that Black/White though?

How were people jumping on The Rock for going home last year when we all knew he was only going to be there thru Wrestlemania? Personally, I didn't want him to come back at all last year but I also understood why they went that route even though we all knew how it was going to end.

...is this really going to turn into one of those Rock threads now?

Won't pretend to know what Punk's situation was like. He gets no heat from me for walking out on his contract. And to the guy who said this explains why Punk goes from girl to girl. LOL

Oh, and there is a plus in all of this. If KENTA does come in he can have some of his moves back now.

It definitely were people jumping on him for going home. The story was that he was hurt and told management and there were people still flipping out about him leaving and showing just how much he didn't care about the business yadda yadda yadda. I probably shouldn't have even brought it up, but it's just funny to me how there was no room for any excuses why Rock left and now because it's one of the internet darlings we need to worry about how black/white the picture is or what other reasons are there and so on.

This whole "part-time" wrestler debate is just annoying and exhausting. Questioning guy's passion and respect for the business and treating it as if they didn't travel up and down the same roads already get's to be a tad grating.

Being a part time guy does mean that you don't have as much of a passion for the business. It's not their #1 priority. At least with Lesnar he doesn't pretend that he loves it like Rock, it's well documented that Brock wants to work as little as possible for as much money as possible. But unlike others, when Brock is off screen, his story is still there with Paul E.

Punk has worked 5 days a week for a long time, and his only real break has been after Mania for the 2 months. He has the right to do this.

Has nothing to do with "internet darlings" or whatnot. I just don't think it's as simple as "Oh, Punk left because he's just like HBK" especially with something different coming out regarding this ever since this was reported. Which is why I said it's not as Black/White as you think. Same thing with Dwayne too.

I think it does have to do with being an internet darling, because if it was Big Show that did it or Batista did it, they wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt to wait for the "full story" behind what happened and why this is happening. Bdolski just said Punk has a right to do it because he's been working 5 nights a week for a long time.

At this time, WWE and Prince Devitt are currently still negotiating a potential deal. Negotiations have been ongoing for a few months, with WWE making an official offer to the Devitt, which has not been accepted.

Potential hold ups on Devitt's side include the fact that he is booked as a top star in New Japan, and that he would have to relocate from his home in Ireland to the US.
OH ****! Really did not know about this.
That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.

This is nothing like The Rock "no showing." Love him or hate him, Dwayne was seriously injured and needed surgery ASAP. And he was supposed to be there to get attacked by Lesnar to set up a match he likely already had an inkling wasn't going to happen.

Meanwhile, if the reports are true, Punk is walking out on an angle they've been building since November. An angle that was heading towards a major match with Triple H at Mania. If he did in fact "take his ball and go home", then I lost a lot of respect for him.

I've read on some sites that during Punks Q&A this past weekend at a Comic Con event, he said that he was pissed about Batista coming back and getting the Wrestlemania headline, also said that this should have been Bryan's year. He also added that his recent work has been crap, that he's only been using two moves in his matches.

If these reports are true, I think it's pretty telling that A) Punk is worn out and B) He's extremely pissed at booking for continually hitting and miss the past year and a half.

I don't blame him and if WWE doesn't shape up, this could become a huge problem if others decide to take the same road as Punk.

What superstars do you think the WWE is legitimately afraid of quitting? Anybody that they legit are afraid to lose is in a top position. Everybody else is a goon, replaceable. The performance center is waiting to spit out stars at any moment.

As much as I love Devitt's work, he is the king of the junior division. That translates to being a jobber in WWE with how they're built. If Punk and Dragon aren't getting the respect they deserve, I don't Devitt or KENTA would either.

We say it every week that they need to start building on the younger talent that they have currently.

I could give them a pass for the Rock because it's the Rock and people will buy tickets for him. It isn't the same with Batista.
