But isn't like Batista is here for two months again and gone. He's on a full time deal. He is a big star. He's a guy with instant credibility. That's valuable.

They've pushed Daniel Bryan. They pushed Dolph, though that was stalled due to injuries and politics. They're pushing the Shield, especially Reigns. They're pushing Bray Wyatt. I know it doesn't fit into the weird "World Title or bust" attitude some have towards a push, but I think they're doing a much better job of developing the next superstars.

Kind've telling reading this now from CM Punk:

I think everybody is always selling me short and then I always prove them wrong. It keeps me pissed off and that's where I need to be, I guess. I'm sick and tired of pulling main event matches and not being in the main event at WrestleMania. Eventually it's just gonna get to the point of, "OK, I deserve to play with this toy, you're not gonna let me play with it, then I'm gonna find some other toys to play with." It gets me down when I really think about it and analyze it, but in the end it keeps me sharp and like I said, pissed off. But I don't think I'm the guy you want pissed off forever.
Anyway, whether he leaves or not is his peroggative. Not slow clapping for him though. A lot of guys have had it a lot worse than Punk...including guys on the current roster.

Its funny, he said that he had always admired Stone Cold Steve Austin...and one of Austin's biggest regrets was leaving the WWE how he did...

How the hell are/were punk/Bryan not getting the respect they deserve? I guess anything short of them main eventing at every ppv is "not respect"? Both guys have gotten huge pushes and are bigger deals now than they ever would be had they stayed in the Indys their entire carers.

Obviously. This is WWE. Being a jobber on WWE is a bigger deal than being in the indies.

I can understand how punk feels to an extent you bust your butt every week and then your pushed to the side for part timers, I'm not saying I don't like seeing lesnar show up from time to time

I still think its cruddy of punk to up and leave like that but this illustrates that WWE has become so reliant on Cena, Orton, Bryan, sheamus, and part timers there are very few guys who are ready for the main event

The main event scene has relatively remained the same since I started watching again (2009). They have not put anyone new in that spot and kept them there. This can't be argued or disputed, it's a fact.

Add to that Batista coming back and main eventing Wrestlemania in a span of 2 weeks? C'mon man.

If you don't understand either of those points, I have nothing else for you.

There was no falling out or heat to my knowledge, it’s just how things go with both of us leading very different lives now. In other words, I have no inside track or info, just a take on things. I have already received many messages with fans asking for Punk in DGUSA and EVOLVE, especially with the shows coming up in New Orleans on April 3rd, 4th and 5th as part of the WWNLive Experience. However, knowing Punk I would be shocked if he ever did an independent wrestling show again. There’s probably a better chance HHH shows up at a non-WWE event. Punk has given himself 110% to the business over the last few years. His scheduled amazed me because there was no way any human should have had to endure it.

He gave his heart, soul and body to WWE and every wrestling fan. My take on all this is it is best now to just leave Punk alone. Let him recharge, refresh and get his life back. He mentally and physically needs it. If and when he’s ready to do something, I’m sure he will. Just leave him alone and let him be.”

WWE isn't afraid of one or two, but say they eventually lose the majority of their mid-carders, then what? Push guys from NXT? There's a select few that management is even considering bringing up now, how would they feel if they were forced to bring them up not being ready? What kind of product will it turn into then? 2008 again?

There's plenty of factors and of course I'm over-generalizing but CM Punk legitly walking out does not set a good tone for how the attitude is backstage at the moment. (Granted Punk is more pissy than others)
