Triple H is probably pissed because Punk doesn't feel that facing him again is a 'big push.'

If this isn't a work, and Punk comes back because of Vince... I'd love to see how he gets booked.

Even if it is a work what could it possibly be leading too that's to huge that they go to these lengths? The title and a surprise match against Austin or something.

Well, it's being seen as similar to Austin in 2002. Both weren't happy with creative (Austin was booked to put over Lesnar, which would've been dumb,) so they took their ball and left.

I know I'm asking what all of you ask.

How did they mess up this Daniel Bryan WWE Title storyline? It was set up so beautifully at SummerSlam. Sometimes the writers need to be patient and let a storyline work itself out. We all knew after Summerslam that it would lead to Daniel being screwed, finding a way to win the Rumble, and win the belt at WrestleMania.

And they royally screwed it up. These guys get paid a lot. And many of us could do a better job....

Yeah, I often wonder how people who got so rich in this same business can manage to screw up such simple things. I could see calling an audible to Batista if Bryan just wasn't getting over, but this is just unbelievably stupid.

              - Honestly, they probably didn't think Bryan's popularity would sustain, let alone grow. Oops.

              - Big Show storyline was obviously an attempt to shift Bryan's cheers/chant to someone else. Didn't work.

              - I don't think they intended to unify the titles until everyone figured out after the first week that Orton and Cena would just swap. Initial promo wasn't 100% clear on a unification. Since they only seem to trust Cena and Orton as the face/heel in this, Bryan (and everyone else) is pushed out.

              - Batista wins Rumble. This makes no sense and derails everything. Bryan isn't (yet) in the WrestleMania title match. Cena is on to a Wyatt feud (which I don't mind, but it is random). Orton is champion just because a heel being dethroned at Mania is always good. Punk walks out, which means Cena forgets about the Wyatts and fight the Shield...who are now feuding with the Wyatts too?

I think they started off the Authority angle well enough, and it certainly had enough legs to go to Mania, but they went off course somewhere and it killed it. I feel like Big Show was probably supposed to fight Orton again, but they scrapped it when the crowd crapped on it. They rushed the unification (I will always believe a match that 'big' was planned for Mania).
So you figure they planned Orton vs. Cena to main event WM, thinking Bryan would be in an upper-card match vs. Triple H/Kane. Big Show vs. Whoever doesn't face Bryan. Batista probably not in the plans in August, so no need to worry about his match.

Now they're stuck with crowd reaction for Bryan altering WM vs. whatever their plans were.

They are in danger of a complete mutiny in the superdome and they need to come up with a way to fix it pronto.

I honestly think the way they save the Daniel Bryan storyline they screwed up, is have him tell Undertaker that he wants to end the streak. He could even talk about how he will do something HHH and HBK couldn't do. Then, have Bryan go over Taker at Mania.

Instead Taker will beat Brock and Taker may it may not be able to wrestle next year.

                  Or

Have Daniel Bryan challenge HBK. Say he wants to take on Mr WrestleMania at WrestleMania. Student vs teacher.

The second one. I think they were holding out hope that HBK would do the match. And hell, maybe he is. Maybe throwing a Sheamus rumor out there is to throw the internet off the scent. But either way, I think they were penciling in HBK vs. Bryan.

I still think they did the title unification at the right time. If you do it at Mania, what do you do with the Rumble winner? It helps TLC, as the main event at Mania for that title is a bigger deal anyway.

I would have had the Title Unification at Elimination Chamber, personally.

Either way, though, it's done and over with. Can't complain that they're unified.

If they can get HBK vs Bryan I don't think anything else matters.

                        My God that'd be amazing.

The only complaint I have is using 2 belts is dumb. Pick a belt or get a new one.

They will at some point. It makes sense for Orton to carry both. The next guy will go down to one, I imagine.

They need those two belts to make Orton appear legit and relevant. It hasn't worked so far though.

Eh, they could have written something. Triple threat with Rumble winner, Rumble winner putting his shot on the line beforehand and losing. This is a reach, but could've done one champ enters the Rumble because he wants to win both.

It is what it is at this point, I just thought it seemed really rushed in December and that they would want Cena and Orton to headline Mania with a unification to make WM30 seem more special.
