well this is his job... if he didn't like his job and wanted to quit more power to him for actually having the balls. if i had ample amounts of money i'd do the same thing right now. looking at the other side of punk, yes he is under a contract. yes he is an entertainer so his job is something different than what a normal person does, but still, he's a human and you have to feel for him. he seems to geninuely care and he is a fantastic performer in the ring. he deserves credit which obviously wasn't being given to him.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I was trying to portray that as how he is feeling. If this isn't a work and he is actually leaving, there is a reason he left... My guess would be he left because he wasn't given that respect he earned, in his eyes. He seemed high on that regard, saying Bryan deserved a title shot this year(which he does), and how he was mad Batista came right back in and was given that respect with a title shot. But, we can only assume since we don't know the actual storyline being built up.PSN: pastor_glidds

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
The whole theory of WWE still going to market CM Punk merch because he is under contract is kind of silly to me.
Out of all the things we know about Vince McMahon the business man, one thing that sticks out is he wouldn't pay someone to just sit on their butt, which is what he would be doing to Punk when the merch keeps selling.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
What are you talking about? Vince pays guys to sit on their asses all the time. Exhibit A, Christian. Christian has been healthy for a while now and sitting on his *** because they "had nothing for him." Evan Bourne from what I understand is healthy right now just waiting for a call. When Austin walked out he was still under contract if I'm not mistaken and his merchandise was never pulled. A lot of the guys on Legends deals are getting paid to sit on their asses outside of the one or two times they're called up a year for an appearance here or there.
Austin's merchandise continued to sell greatly in the weeks following his departure, however with no sign of a return likely to be seen, the company stopped marketing his character, his merchandise, and removed his profile from WWE.com.
So we'll just wait a few weeks then to see.Last edited by StevenSD; 01-31-2014, 03:35 PM.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
From what Im reading vince wants him back while HHH isnt in a hurry...I dont know this is pro wrestling where everything no matter what is a skit. I somehow see this with HHH getting a ton of heat and CM Punk returns to challenge him..If Punk isnt there for Mania, then I know hes goneatleast..Its not DelawareComment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
The part about wrestlers with Legends Contracts is completely off-base. Those contracts are on pay per appearance base with residuals from merchandise and licensing.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
You're comparing wrestlers who get injured and rehabbed to a wrestler who quits? You are also comparing 50-60 year old wrestlers who are under contract to appear three or four times for it's length (who knows how much they get) to a wrestler who quits? What are YOU talking about?
The Legends example is a bad one, because they get paid in appearance, or have to show up for so many appearances.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
NBA: Indiana Pacers
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
NASCAR: Ryan Newman
One day, Purdue Men's Basketball and Football will become relevant again.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
As far as I know, JTG still gets a paycheck, so that would make it pretty clear that Vince pays people for nothing. Although that has to be a Milton glitch or something, doesn't it?Comment

The Very Latest on Sting to WWE
According to The Wrestling Observer, the latest on Sting signing with WWE is that has yet to actually sign a contract with the company, but he is very close. A memo was sent to WWE's merchandise department to begin working on t-shirt concepts for Sting, and it appears as if WWE is going with "A Man Called Sting" concept, since Sting is a WCW name.
In related news, it's being said that Sting's arrival in WWE is not being regarded by officials on the same priority level as the signing of guys like Batista, Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan or The Rock.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Ba-****ing-tista is viewed as bigger than Sting? Even now?!
The rest of them I can see, even Brock. But Batista?! I stopped watching before Batista went on his post-Evolution run. Was he really that good?!

..
.
Nope.
Edit: He was over, but he was never really good. Not enough to be mentioned on the same priority level of a Rock, Hogan, Lesnar, or Sting. No way in hell.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I'm confused about this "The Man Called Sting". The name is a WCW name, okay. So WWE doesn't want to use it because it doesn't have the rights to it or because it is a "WCW name" and they want to brand him as their own?Comment
