Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

    June | Week 2

    Monday Night Raw

The show opened with Miz and Shawn Michaels fighting backstage. The Miz was slamming Michaels into crates and walls, and walked off leaving the Heartbreak Kid beaten on the ground.

Daniel Bryan came to the ring to address his tag team partner, Kane. Instead of Kane, it was CM Punk who came to the ring. He gave Bryan a GTS before leaving.

    WWE Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws def. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
With Shawn Michaels incapacitated, Triple H gave his blessing to the New Age Outlaws to take the title shot. They did just that, defeating Ziggler and Swagger to become the new champions.

    Mankind def. Brock Lesnar
With the referee knocked out, The Rock came to the ring and delivered a Rock Bottom to Brock Lesnar. He followed it up with a People's Elbow, before Mankind made the pin. The referee woke up just in time to make the 3 count.

David Otunga & Beth Phoenix def. Shane McMahon & Stephanie McMahon via count out
The rivalry between the McMahons and Team Laurinaitis continued with the McMahon kids taking on David Otunga and his new partner Beth Phoenix. The McMahons seemed in control throughout the match, until the match spilled outside. Stephanie and Beth Phoenix battled at the barricade. On the count of 9, Beth Phoenix slammed Stephanie into the barricade, and slid into the ring just before the 10 count.

    Friday Night Smackdown

    No Disqualification
    The Miz def. Triple H
In response to Miz' attack on Shawn Michaels on Raw, Triple H got a no disqualification match against the Intercontinental Champion. This match wasn't about winning for Triple H, it was about hurting The Miz. And hurt Miz is exactly what The Game did. The match soon left the ring, and Triple H pulled out his trusty sledge hammer. Triple H beat Miz with the sledge hammer up and down the ramp, and seemed to have Miz finished off on the stage where Triple H hit a Pedigree on the Most Must See Superstar. Bloodied and beaten, Triple H brought Miz back down to the ring to get a legal pin. But with the match back in the ring, David Otunga came through the crowd. Sliding into the right, Otunga hit Triple H with The Verdict, and Miz followed it up with a snap DDT, knocking Triple H out for the 3 count.

    Daniel Bryan def. CM Punk
CM Punk has been feuding with Team Hell No individually the past few weeks, and Kane's loyalties are still uncertain. But CM Punk finally got his match with Daniel Bryan. Punk looked to get the victory over Bryan, completing the sweep of the dysfunctional tag team, but The Rock came down to the ring, which distracted the Straight Edge Superstar. He left the ring, and began attacking "Dwayne", tossing the WWE Champion into the ring and giving him a GTS. This distraction was just enough to Daniel Bryan to take advantage and get the 3 count.

    Stone Cold def. Mark Henry

    #1 Contender's Match
    Lita def. Trish Stratus
Lita rushed the ring and began attacking Trish before the bell even rung. She picked up a quick victory over Trish Stratus. After the match, Beth Phoenix and Mankind appeared on the stage applauding Lita's victory, which confused both Lita and the WWE Universe.

    Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio
A long, competitive match between these men ended with Orton pinning Mysterio after a 2nd RKO. After the match, Alberto Del Rio rushed the ring, attacking both men.

Seems like too many belts with no overall champ which is a pet peeve of mines but oh well I'll have to get over it!

mcavner..are you going to have any of these rosters share belts? Or just completely have them seperate? How would you work out your PPVs? Does the CPU Generate more or do we have to create them every month (no biggie, just asking?)
Well, I grew up right at the end of the territory days so for me I just love having the WWF/NWA/AWA angles and multiple world champs. One day I may have an undisputed champ... but not right now. No shared belts, although I may unify the WWE tag belts (but right now I like the idea that the Smackdown brand basically represents the NWA heavyweight/US/and tag title traditions).

For ppv's Raw and Smackdown share the default ppv's. I downloaded the WCW arenas and logos and have a full schedule of WCW ppv's (which were originally shared by WCW and ECW) and there were enough left over WWE ppv's which weren't even used (e.g. One Night Only) for the fifth and sixth shows. I'm going to have WCW and AWA share the WCW ppv's and ECW and TNA share the other ppv's.

I had an awesome moment on the first WCW Nitro after the brand reorganization. I moved Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Big Show, and Jericho to Nitro to mix things up and on the first show Jeri Show was booked against Hogan and Nash. It was cool watching Jeri Show come out considering how both of those guys left WCW back in the day and I'm thinking they're going to challenge the NWO and then, right on cue, it goes to a cut scene just a few seconds into the match and Big Show comes in the ring and nails his partner Jericho and storms off. Hogan and Nash clean-up the mess and get the win and Hall comes in and the NWO celebrate. If Big Show turns heel and hooks up with the NWO I'm totally going to change his camo to NWO black and white. Pretty cool.

A lot of it is my own imagination. Some of it is cut scenes, but some of it is my own imagination.

For instance, to represent someone cutting a promo on someone else (and the ensuing attack), I create a match where the win condition is to hit a finisher, then I give the one guy that I want to win a finisher to start with, and have him hit a finisher. Then I use my creative writing skills (I'm a theater major / writing minor in college, so that's what I do lol) to write a story about what happened.

There are other times where what I wrote out actually happened in the match also.

The most success I've had getting cutscenes is to make sure you go into Match Creator before each match and have Interference turned on. You might not get a full on cut scene, but you might at least get a run in or something. I do get some legitimate cut scenes here and there tho.

                  June | Week 3

                  Monday Night Raw

D-Generation X def. The Miz and David Otunga
David Otunga's run in against Triple H last week on Smackdown prompted this tag team match. Miz and Otunga looked to have an early win, with Otunga hitting The Verdict on Triple H. But The Game was able to kick out at 2, and the match continued. The hostilities between these men boiled over. Outside the ring, Triple H speared The Miz through the barricade, effectively taking him out of the match and making it a handicap match. John Laurinaitis did all he could to preserve the win for Otunga, but it wasn't enough. After Laurinaitis was finally ejected from ringside, Triple H hit a final Pedigree on Otunga and picked up the victory.

                  Dolph Ziggler def. X-Pac

                  Chris Jericho def. John Cena

                  #1 Contender's Match
                  Lita def. Beth Phoenix
This match ended quickly. Kelly Kelly sat watching from the audience. When the fight spilled outside, Kelly Kelly attacked Beth Phoenix from the other side of the barricade. Bringing the match back in the ring, Lita finished the match with a Moonsault. After the match, Nikki Bella attacked a downed Beth Phoenix. Lita came to her aid, knocking Nikki out of the ring.

CM Punk and Brock Lesnar def. The Rock and Mankind
Punk and Lesnar overcame being attacked from behind by Ziggler and Mark Henry as they made their way to the ring. Lesnar got the win, pinning Mankind after a series of powerbombs. As the men celebrated their victory, a video appeared on the Titantron with only the words "The End Is Coming".

                  Friday Night Smackdown

CM Punk and Brock Lesnar def. Dolph Ziggler and Mark Henry
Punk and Lesnar got their vengeance on Ziggler and Henry, defeating them in a tag team match. Ziggler wasn't able to recover fast enough after an F5 outside the ring, and was counted out.

                  Bret Hart def. Christian
Bret Hart sent a message to Stone Cold with this victory. Austin came to ringside and briefly distracted Bret Hart, but it wasn't enough to cost him the victory. After pinning Christian, Hart celebrated in the ring, sending a message to Austin that he is ready for their Hell In A Cell match at Capital Punishment.

Backstage, David Otunga assaulted Shane McMahon. After KO'ing him, Otunga walked off.

CM Punk made his way back out to the ring, stating that he was taking over Smackdown, even though it wasn't his show. He stated that another Superstar used to call Smackdown "his" show, and that Superstar was "Dwayne", who stuck his nose in Punk's business last week on Smackdown and got a GTS for his troubles. Punk said he didn't want to wait until Raw to face Rock, and wanted him to come out and face him in the ring. Rock obliged, and on his way to the ring was ambushed from behind by Brock Lesnar. Both Punk and Lesnar laid a beatdown on Rock, with chair shots and F5's until The People's Champion was bloodied and beaten, unable to get to his feet.

Alberto Del Rio def. Randy Orton
Randy Orton rushed Del Rio before the bell rang, but Del Rio would fight off Orton, picking up a huge victory over the Viper.

OK, I started watching wrestling in the Hulkamania era and stopped right around Stone Cold's reign so I get what you're saying!

And that Big Show thing..thats off the chain! I didnt know superstars would become heel/face on their own (still learning about this game)

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

I think I finally settled on how I want to set up my Universe (but Im not starting it over, just reorganizing). Also, last night was the first time I played matches that didnt involve my CAWs and I HAD A BALL! Alot of the guys I played with brought back good memories about me and my lil sis watching wrestling together back in the day (the old Rock! man, his intro brought back alot of memories boy)! I also was allowing the CPU to generate the scheduele and it wasnt fun seeing the same matches over and over, so now Im going to scheduele every match and play most of them! Ive also got alot better so Im bumping the difficulty up to Hard and turning down the reversals.

I just cant get over my pet peeve of not having an overall champ so I gotta do it.

There are going to be 2 rosters WWF and WCW, 2 major shows and 4 minor.

WWF - Raw is War (Major) Nxt (Minor) Smackdown (old school Minor)
WCW - Nitro (Major) Thunder (Minor) Another Minor (havent found a arena/logo I want to use yet)

                      Belts:
World Heavyweight Champ (shared) - The Rock (old school)

WWF (minor) - WWF Champion (one of the old school belts) - Underataker (old school)

WCW (minor) - WCW Champion - Hollywood Hogan

Tag Champs (shared, old school belts) - Hawk & Animal

Diva Champ (shared, old school belt) - Azrael (original CAW)

This is going to be my setup and I will keep everyone active (thats why I need to do the schedueling, and why I need so many minor shows)

I will need some help with some more WCW Allstars to download, so far I have

Goldberg, Scott Hall, Hollywood Hogan, Sting..and the list stops there

I know I saw Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell, etc in CC so I'll grab them too but I know you guys are way more savvy (and patient) with the online server to help me out with who I'm missing.

Also I dont care about having duplicate players, it doesnt bother me just fyi

I had the best two matches I've played last night at the Hell in a Cell PPV

                        1st one
Rock (old school) vs. HBK vs. Triple H (DX) for the Heavyweight Championship

It went on for 35 min. with The Rock slamming Triple H through the cage then pinning him to retain the belt.

                        2nd one was
Mark Henry (current) vs. Mankind for the WCW Belt, this was brutal. Both guys were bleeding like crazy, in the end Mark Henry retained the belt only to lose it the following week against Goldberg!
Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..

My universe is going pretty good I seem to get better cut scenes with WWF Raw is war than the regular WWE. Don't know why this would be hopefully I get some more cut scenes in my other shows.

We kick off raw 2 weeks into may with WWE Over the limit around the corner
Dean Ambrose comes to the ring alone and issues a Loser Leaves Brand match to anyone in the back..... To everyones surprise the Funkasuaraus Brodus Clay comes down to the ring to accept the challenge. After some quick back and forth action Clay takes out the ref... OH No we have another referee coming to make the save... Its the rogue referee Brad Maddox Who Low Blows Clay 3 times and wakes up the ref for Ambrose to pick up the victory. Sad moment as brodus is now Heading to smackdown.

                                June | Week 4

                                Monday Night Raw

                                Triple H def. David Otunga
In a grudge match between two men going at it in recent weeks, Triple H faced off against David Otunga. While there were some nice back and forth moments, Triple H held the upper hand through most of the match. The match probably would have been shorter had John Laurinaitis not continued to get involved. As Triple H set up to put Otunga through the announce table, the distraction got him just enough so that Otunga put Triple H through the table instead. Someone in the locker room had a problem with it, as John Cena rushed to ringside to take care of John Laurinaitis, while Triple H finished off Otunga in the ring with a Pedigree.

                                Shane McMahon def. The Miz

                                Chris Jericho def. John Cena

Kane came to the ring to address Daniel Bryan who has been inquiring about Kane's loyalties in recent weeks. However, instead of Daniel Bryan answering the call, it was Dolph Ziggler, saying he's had enough of these 2 going back at forth with each other. Ziggler was cut off by Daniel Bryan who began making his way to the ring. But as he was coming down the ramp, he was attacked from behind by Jack Swagger, who then tossed AmDrag into the ring, seemingly to Dolph Ziggler who was waiting for him. Instead, Ziggler got a Chokeslam from the Big Red Monster. It seems as though Team Hell No are back together!

CM Punk came to the ring, stating that there is a new power on Monday nights. He reiterated that he is a "Paul Heyman guy", and that he's had enough of "Dwayne". Obviously bitter about losing his WWE Championship to The Rock at Extreme Rules, CM Punk continued to dig at The People's Champion before finally introducing his new partner. Brock Lesnar's music hit, and the #1 Contender made his way to the ring. As Punk and Lesnar stood together, Mankind's music hit, and Foley came to the ring. He challenged CM Punk to a match at Capitol Punishment; an extreme rules match! After the match became official, The Rock came down to stand by Mankind against Punk and Lesnar. Punk laid both men out with a GTS, and Lesnar and Punk grabbed chairs from ringside and began beating Rock and Mankind with the chairs as Raw went off the air.

                                Friday Night Smackdown

                                Edge def. Sheamus

                                Rey Mysterio def. Bret Hart
World Heavyweight Champion Stone Cold rushed the ring with a knocked out referee and delivered a Stunner to his challenger at Capitol Punishment. Austin woke up the referee to count the 3 as Mysterio made the pin.

                                The Miz def. Eddie Guerrero

Team Hell No def. Too Cool

Alberto Del Rio def. Randy Orton
Del Rio attacked Orton on the ramp before the match, and dominated the match from bell to bell. Del Rio has dominated Orton in recent weeks, a string of wins that is surely to put Del Rio high in the title picture going forward.
