    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

New month, new collections. November is Sasha Banks and Rey Mysterio. Listings for both are here.

Mysterio's doesn't have anything that isn't already on the Network. Sasha's has short interview segments and the Abu Dhabi match against Alexa Bliss.

    --

Hidden Gems for last week were:
1997 - Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker and Steve Austin (MSG house show)
2009 - Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs Legacy in a cage match (some post-SD dark match)

That was back when Dustin Rhodes could have a great match with a broom. His wars with Austin and Rude were pure gold (no pun intended).

Which statement by Mean Gene had the most truth to it: saying Hogan/Beefcake were the greatest tag team in history, or saying No Holds Barred was one of the biggest hits of 1989?

Somehow when Gene says it it doesn't sound like BS or some kind of forced narrative lol.

This week's Hidden Gem is an unreleased home video pilot from 1989 for AWA's Team Challenge Series.

Worth putting on just to see some green-screen entrances.

Just watched that lol. That was ... unique. Someone should do an MST3K type commentary on it.

Early 90s WCW is a guilty pleasure of mine. I remember flipping through the channels as a kid and seeing a Clash of Champions on TBS around that time. Was my first time seeing WCW. Dangerous Alliance, Vader, Ron Simmons, Bad Street USA, etc. I will take that era over 1994-1995 WCW any day of the week.
Speaking of early 90s WCW, I just watched Sting vs Vader from the Great American Bash 92, what a great match. It's not the 100mph car crash style of match that you'll see today but I loved the slower pacing, the crowd was hot and the total shock in the arena after Sting lost really added to it. This is probably my favorite Sting match, I'll take it over any of his stuff with Flair

                      Was that the strap match?
If you ever attended a WWE live event (house shows and PPVs) which wrestler(s) did you buy a ticket to see? https://forms.gle/d5uh8iifDbfDBdDd8

Vader at that time was having everyone's best matches. Flair, Sting, and that crazy stuff with Cactus Jack.

Speaking of Sting, the ending to this match will always be memorable to me, for whatever reason.

This two man power trip/Undertaker/Kane feud is just awesome.

Heyman and JR are good, but it just feels like a different era now with no King.

EDIT: Regal is another one added to the list of guys I didn't appreciate but love now.
