Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm starting my "WM rewinds" on the network. Not watching every WM, mainly picking and choosing matches and especially segments throughout history to watch back. Surprisingly haven't done this since I first subscribed to the network. Last time I did this, I just watched YouTube clips of past shows, but that was many years ago
WM3 really had the first real major WM feel. Aretha Franklin kicking off the show (I think her performance is probably one of the best renditions anyone has ever done at any sporting event). I forgot Bret was around back then. So early into his career. And of course this show had Macho Man vs Steamboat, and Hogan vs Andre. Nothing like watching these with Monsoon and Ventura on commentary.
These backstage interviews are so intense. Feels like a lost art today. So many big and distinct personalities and characters. Talk about larger than life characters.
Nowadays we're so use to these stadium WMs, but its extra special watching WM3 since we dont have many WMs out there with many of the talent on this show in a venue like this. I loved those chariots. Hogan slamming Andre is obviously THE moment, but I loved the shot with Andre and Heenan in the chariot going to the back after losing while Hogan celebrates. And WM on the network in so good quality. I know sports in the 80s still didnt have the best SD quality, but WM looked like a movie with the lighting and camera shots.Last edited by Majingir; 03-09-2021, 10:16 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I hope that's not their plan for other versions of the network in the future. Would be a major step back.Weird seeing comments like these online now. So many years it was the other countries often getting cheated out of streaming services. 2021 has been a weird time for streaming services. The Canadian version of Disney+ AND WWE Network are better than the US one? This really is bizzaroworld.Comment

What’s better about Canadian D+?

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
That just seems so horrible. Might as well just have a separate network if that's what they're doing. Main WWE Network for classic content, and Peacock for WWE Original Content like 24, Icons and so on, along with the live PPVs.
I hope that's not their plan for other versions of the network in the future. Would be a major step back..
Now it's probably a matter of people putting pressure on Peacock to get the markers added, because it's going to suck without them.Comment

And we also get Star. Which has many 14+ shows as well. Animated things like Futurama, Family Guy, Bob's Burger along with many movies and shows ranging from Mash to Scrubs to How I Met Your Mother and many more.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I’ve seen this mentioned a few times, has it been announced there will be no markers or is that based on the current Peacock setup? I’m holding out hope maybe they’ll get addedComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
No announcement. People are just basing it on the current Peacock setup.
