    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

WM13 with Austin vs Bret was the best double turn match you could ever have. Fans seemed split going in, but really seemed like once Austin got busted open, fans went to his side. And obviously him in the sharpshooter for 2 minutes and not tapping out, as JR would say "bleeding like a stuffed pig". And Bret still attacking Austin once the match was done. 97 Bret Hart is probably the best version of him in his career.

    Skipped ahead to WM19.

Mysterios mask looks so weird because it's not like his others. The entire bottom half of his face is exposed.

Taker coming out to a live performance of Rollin. He was rocking out to the theme from the insanely long and winding ramp area.

Jazz vs Trish vs Victoria. Still crazy realizing how this era of womens wrestling and the current era was bridged by the divas title era. Although sucks seeing how good this division was but knowing they could've been so much better still if not held down. Even this WM match I think only lasted several minutes. Although this same WM had some awkward pillow fight....

Jericho vs HBK obviously a WM classic. Imagine a match like that happening today at WM, and it ends with that rollup.

McMahon/Hogan buildup was so good. Obviously the match wouldn't ever be great, but what a great build and pre match package.

Rock vs Austin. In hindsight, if they knew it was Austin's final match, imagine billing a Rock vs Austin WM match as a Career vs Career match. That probably would've ended WM. Nothing tops their WM17 video package, but this one was great too. IMO this was their best of their WM matches. Felt real modern too with the amount of false finishes (Austin hitting the rock bottom, austin kicking out of Rock bottoms)

      WM Goes Hollywood!

One of the most unique WM promo videos they've ever had. They went all out with the hollywood theme.

We all remember the classics (ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?!)

But I didnt even realize this one was a thing with Stone Cold

What a WM this one was. Really the finished product of the RA Era. Cena and Batista becoming world champs, Edge winning MITB, Orton vs Taker, Eddie's last WM (vs Mysterio).

Although we randomly have that Big Show sumo match, and Christy Hemme in a one on one WM womens title match for some reason.

Sucks he only lasted a short time, but Hassan was such a great character. The pop for Hogan interrupting was insane. Too bad we also didnt get Hollywood Hogan. Probably at WM Goes Hollywood Again (aka WM38)?

HBK vs Angle, when you talk about WM classic matches, obviously this is one of the best ever. Hate false finishes all you want, those were THE moments of this match. Cant imagine HBKs career if he never came back. Mr.Wrestlemania wouldn't be a thing because his 2nd half of his career is really where he earned that title with matches vs Jericho, Angle, Cena, Undertaker.

How do you top that match? Pipers Pit with Austin! Pipers Pit starts with both of them slapping each other. Piper playing off the WHAT chants was gold. Carlito comes in and Piper calls him alfalfa lol. Still can't believe Pipers gone. Always loved seeing Pipers Pit. Very few people could ever top Piper on the mic.

Nothing beats a WM at MSG.

WM20 had its ups and downs.

Still amazed me we technically did get Rock vs Flair at WM. Orton's legend killer list including names like Rock. Flair goes for a peoples elbow, Rock counters, hits a peoples elbow while doing a Flair strut lol. Didnt realize this match ended with an "RKO outta nowhere!" (JRs exact words too)

Thankfully Austin was the ref for Lesnar vs Goldberg. Crowds like these were so much rarer back then, but they knew what was up the whole time. Fans made this "match" fun. To this day, has there ever been a WM match so hated by fans in attendance?

It's a shame that even a match like Molly vs Victoria at WM didnt get the proper respect it deserved, both on commentary and in match time. Unfortunately for them they cheaped out on the clippers.

Nothing beats that pop from the crowd when they hear "OooooOooOooOo Yeeeeeeees!" from Bearer, and then Undertakers gong.

As much as I didnt want to, I still watched the end of WMXX. The Eddie/Benoit moment is still one of the best endings to a WM ever, which sadly we can never reflect on in the same way for obvious reasons.

Wouldn’t you know it, there’s a lot of archived stuff already there. Just like the internet said there wouldn’t be.

Smh. I guess "a lot" is suggestive but I damn sure wouldn't consider it a lot seeing as how none of the territory shows are there; I don't see any TNT, SNME, etc. Outside of their exclusive shows, it's actually closer to the content when The Network first dropped.

EDIT: RAW only goes back to 2008.

I despise how they are categorizing everything as Seasons (IE Royal Rumble 1991 is considered Season 4 Episode 1 of Royal Rumble)

So, not listed by year at all? I liked how the Network eventually got to a place where you could go to, say 2016, and see all of the PPVs that happened in that calendar year.

more content than what I expected at launch, but it seems... random for the most part.

Hopefully they figure out an elegant way of sorting it though.

Of all streaming services I've used like Netflix Prime Video, Disney+, WWE Network, the best one in terms of organization is WWE Network.

I get WWE is different because you're probably not caring about skipping to a certain part of a movie when streaming, or looking up a specific year or show, but WWE Network had everything so well organized.

Glad that's staying in my version of the network, but I hope the Peacock stuff isn't a sign of things to come internationally

You're probably fine unless a Canadian streaming service wants to give WWE a billion dollars?

Correct and don't count on any sort of organization anytime soon, Peacock is a mess.

Lol yeah I went and looked around. It’s pretty rough. My hope is since they were able to start with 13 years of Raw on day 1 they’ll be able to get the rest together pretty quickly. I’m in 99 so I can’t watch anything for a while. I maybe going free trial email scam for a little bit. [emoji23]

WWE having some original content revolving around Austin.

First one is the Meeting Stone Cold.

It's always weird seeing him pre WWE.

I never knew how the Austin 3:16 stuff started. I never watched that KOTR. How crazy was that. He was at a (local medical facility) getting stitches, didnt see Jake's promo, when he got back to the arena, he just got a rundown of what Jake said, and played off that once he won. Never knew Jake was the one who brought all that John 3:16 stuff on TV. What would've happened had Austin not been cleared to come back that night?
