The best they could have been is what TNA is today. I couldn't see it really competing with WWE ever again once it started going down. Could they have gotten the CM Punks, Bryan Danielsons, Claudio Castangolis, Nigel McGuinneses, or Samoa Joes of the world? Possibly some, but the ultimate goal would have still been going to WWE, and they'd be a very distant second.

It would have been interesting to see.

They would have failed for sure though, because the skrong point of WCW was their cruisers. Easily... Except for the fact that the bookers ignored them. Kinda like WWE does today, except at least the WCW cruisers were given 15 minutes. They might not have had a storyline, but 15-20 minutes to tell a story in the ring is better than nothing.

But yeah. They would have died out if WWE didn't buy them up. They rode a wave of hotness in the nWo and drove that into the ground in pretty record breaking time, considering how it could have played out.

What if Sting signed with WWF/E and NOT with WCW? Would he had been bigger than the stars of that time?

I think it would have eventually came back around to being a good show because Bishoff was with a group trying to buy it. They still had some big names there they just weren't booked well

I've said it before I think he would have been a much bigger star than he was in WCW. Ric Flair and Hogan both said this...funny thing is I'm not sure I feel he shouldn't have gone to WCW at all but definitely gone to WWF/E much earlier

What if Flying Bryan Pillman was still around...where would he be? Would he have been WWF/E champion?

Jesus, I never realized this. That makes those memories that much better. I enjoyed the hell out of those matches. Never even thought of a story line or why they were fighting. I gave no ****s about WWF when they were on. Especially Juvi.

I think the only ones to ever get a true "storyline" would be Jericho after he started talking for 5 minutes or so. He had the Malenko thing and the Goldberg thing.

From what I recall, before they were bought out WCW was putting a lot more emphasis on the Cruisers. I remember they even had a Cruiserweight Tag Team division.

They did have the tag division. That's why Styles/Paris were brought in at the tail end.

It still would have been a big boy focused show, though.

I think he definitely would have gotten a run with the title, at the very least he would have probably had a nice feud with Austin over the title.

What if Bischoff never fired Austin?

When he was Stunning Steve? He'd fizzle out in my opinion. The change to SCSA really propelled his career to the point some don't even remember him as anyone else.

What if Edge never suffered that career ending injury? Would he be rotated with Cena as champ?

I can't really comment on Edge that much because I missed WM XX-Jan 2014. But I'd have to imagine he would have stayed at the top, he seemed to be very over and was a good performer.

What if WWE had a settlement lawsuit with the Panda lovers and was able to keep the WWF name with no complications or restrictions?

Quite possibly we could have seen WCW beat WWE. Leading to HBK joining WCW's nWo. Sting and the Rock having matches. And Glacier would have still been Glacier.
