Shawn has Rock beat on being a natural heel and a heat magnet. Rock was just a better performer on the mic. I'd say the Rock promo was better.

Agreed. Rock generated all that heat completely out of thin air. They were cheering him at the beginning.

The most heat Shawn got in that promo was from playing Bret’s song. Which is kinda “cheap heat” haha.

That Shawn promo is my spirit animal every time I bust Maj’s balls.

5 years ago yesterday, Braun Strowman made his main roster debut, helping Bray Wyatt by attacking Roman Reigns.

Fast forward 5 years, all 3 are now about to compete for the Universal Title.

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...

A day late but it was the RAW after Summerslam in 2016 when Finn Balor just vacated the new Universal Championship. A Fatal 4 Way elimination was set between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Big Cass & Kevin Owens.

During the match, Triple H returned to exact his revenge on Roman for beating him at Wrestlemania. He delivered a Pedigree and had Seth pin Roman for the elimination. Only KO & Rollins remained. It seemed Triple H was getting the authority back together only to Pedigree Rollins and help a shocked Kevin Owens become the second ever Universal Champion.

We even got I believe the first ever main roster finger point...

Cool, so it was 4 years in between truly shocking moments to end Raw

                    I never watched WCW.

Apparently they never even aired live in Canada. Nice work with that TV deal guys, ESPECIALLY after getting Bret Hart hot out of the screwjob.

I saw this episode on the network today. I think this was one of their realest episodes ever, this includes the Owen tribute episode.

Guys actually used real names at times (Edge called himself Adam Copeland) and gave personal and emotional thoughts throughout the show. It is sad looking back and hearing some comments made and realizing how unfortunately some of the wishes they had for the future didnt come true.

Side note, theme songs during the Invasion were weird. This was first invasion era episode I've rewatched since 2001. Many guys really got short end of the theme music stick.
