Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Agreed. I get why they do the goofy holiday matches in WWE, im sure if I was 8 years old I’d laugh my *** off at a pumpkin getting put on a guys head. But 38 year old me can’t stand them haha.

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Given where we are today, this would be a perfect PPV in 2022, this was a show ahead of its time.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
The real fun would be giving actual options. Steel cage, ladder match or no dq. Obviously the superstars would know which result is winning ahead of time so they know which one to prepare for (maybe even have voting end Friday after SD?) But some of the things were fun because you really had no idea what would be chosen.Absolutely ahead of it's time, but they briefly had a variation during the Raw second screen stuff they used to do. But as I mentioned above, they botched it by giving uninteresting and straightforward choices. No point really voting when you know which of the 3 choices were going to win and/or theres little difference between the choices like no dq, falls count anywhere and no holds barred.Comment

On this day in professional wrestling history...
Surprised no one posted this as this happened 25 years ago today…
I remember watching that live and thinking he was really let some shots fly at Austin, especially once he broke inside his house.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Let's throw it back to November 12th, 2001, the go home show to the 2001 Survivor Series. It's The Rock, It's Stone Cold Steve Austin. Two icons, two legends stealing each other's catch phrases and.... singing.

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Even more importantly, in 2000 Crash Holly had a WWF Championship match on Heat?

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Survivor Series 1999, where WWE knew Austin was going to need surgery but kept advertising him for the big Triple Threat Match with Rock & Triple H. So WWE had to write off Austin by having a really over babyface Rikishi do it for The Rock.
This led to Big Show taking Austin's spot and winning his first WWE Championship. This card also featured an intergender match for the IC Championship as Chyna faced Chris Jericho.
