The world demanded in 2001 to have the Steiners wrestle in singles matches on a PPV, and a Luger/Bagwell tag team. High quality in ring was the focus.

Gonna slide a March 25 in the last few minutes here

            March 25, 2002
            WWF Raw

The first WWF Draft takes place, but the show was pretty stacked with matches.

Things kicked off with the one and only match between Taz and Mr Perfect. It's only a couple minutes (literally) but if you're like me you don't even imagine these two ever interacting on TV, so it's mildly interesting.

The show also featured Rock & Hogan vs the nWo (Hall, Nash, X-Pac) and RVD vs Kurt Angle for the Intercontinental Championship.

And as we're remembering some Triple H moments as he announces his retirement, let's not forget he defended the Undisputed Championship that night against Chris Jericho and (in her only Undisputed title match) Stephanie McMahon.

That's my fave part about watching Raw back then, I'm really not skipping much anymore. Even during AE, there were duds, and I can't look at the "womens division" from those days the same anymore after seeing this current era.

But 2000 the WWF roster alone was great.

2001 adding in the ECW talent and some WCW guys made it big.

Then 2002 having the other WCW guys coming in just made it stacked.

2003-2004 while they slowly lost some of the big names, you had the OVW class taking over.

That 2002 draft was special. I know people criticize the draft nowadays, but I like the current format where everyone is eligible. It would've been better if they made brand exclusivity mean something again, and had a level of competition beyond the default Survivor Series stuff too.

2001 ECW vs WWF would've been fine

Austin turn still could've happened too with him being a one time ECW guy (and former Paul Heyman guy).

RVD,Raven,Dreamer,Rhyno and the defecting Austin vs Rock,Undertaker,Kane,Jericho,Big Show still would've worked.

                      And Dudleys vs Hardys.

                      Jazz vs Trish or Lita

Among other people siding with them too

Then WCW could've entered after Survivor Series with Flair coming in. I've said it before, WM18 could've been WWF vs WCW and the card doesn't even change a whole lot. Still have Rock vs Hogan, Austin vs Hall, Taker vs Flair. HHH vs Jericho could've been Jericho siding with WCW.

Missed this by a few weeks, but still worth posting here, 25 years later.

This version of Bret (1997 as a whole) is probably my fave version of him.

7 years ago, Wrestlemania 31 in Santa Clara. Wonder if Hulk Hogan still has that invisible MITB Briefcase from Wrestlemania 9 to give Seth Rollins for Sunday.
