Well, Hogan was a great wrestler early in his career in AWA and when he wrestled in Japan but WWE, he was always below average. His best matches were against Randy Savage who's one of the best of all time so it is possible for a great wrestler to carry a below average wrestler to a great match. Can the same not apply to Edge now? He's below average and pulling out a great match every once in the blue doesn't make him better than below average. If a wrestler has 10 matches in a year and 9 matches suck yet 1 is great, the wrestler still sucks. One match here and there doesn't change that.

I feel like the only reason Edge went to AEW is because they told him theyd use him full time where as WWE said this contract was it, youre not getting full time and he probably wanted a title run which they bulked at.

I'm surprised he even wanted full time.

Really sounded like during his goodbyes to the WWE fans that he really was done (in Toronto at least) and likely wraps things up at WM.

But now he's in AEW full time for who knows how many months if not longer?!

At the very least I did believe he wouldn't be competing in Toronto ever again (even saying next time he comes back to Toronto better be during the cup parade), but now even that's back on the table because no way Tony doesn't go crazy trying to book a Toronto venue for an AEW show headlined by Edge.

You don't think about it until now, but someone like Mox has to be a lock to feud with him. Their paths never crossed and careers never overlapped.

Shield debuted less than 2 years when Edge retired and Mox left WWE less than a year before Edge returned.

Good for him if it's what he wants, but if he's wrestling every week at 49 I'm fully expecting the injuries to pile up.

Surely this is just him finishing his career by checking off any remaining things before he retires.

Lots of guys like Mox, Omega, Sting among others he probably wants to face or team with. Wonder if we see Omega, Edge, Jericho in a team for one time opposing Callis Family? Callis was briefly Edges manager before he debuted on TV, they could probably pull some history there too.

Zack Sabres Jr. wants a rematch with Bryan Danielson. Sounds like a setup for a rematch at Wrestle Kingdom.

From what I'm reading, it sounds like he was tired of doing stuff then disappearing every couple months like he was doing in WWE. Seemed he wanted to do more but WWE had no interest in him being anything more than a special attraction. Sometimes I just don't get WWE and their decision making.

                  - WWE wanted Cody to remain Stardust so Cody asked for his release. Cody leaves, he meets Kenny & The Bucks, All In becomes a thing and then AEW is born. All because of WWE not wanting to let Cody be himself.

                  - Christian appears in the Royal Rumble, WWE said they didn't want to do anything else with him. Edge & Christian vs The Usos leading up to Wrestlemania was RIGHT THERE... but WWE said no. Then Christian showed up in AEW, which I think played a major role in Edge leaving. Christian is on the best run of his career since his first TNA run proving WWE made a mistake in letting him go.

                  - Edge wanted to do more, face new opponents but nah check back with us every three months. He said it himself, they didn't have anything more for him to do. Like how do you not have more for Edge to do? Damn... it's crazy.

Even if they "look stupid", it doesn't impact their actual shows since "the show must go on" so they just keep on turning out new things.

I think it has to do with Christian for sure.

Not too long after Edges final appearance in WWE is when Christian signed his new deal. Don't think he would've if Edge wanted a teamup and final run in WWE, but guess WWE didn't want that.

I just wonder how much he does have left in the tank.

Just found out Tony Chimel works for AEW too! Since they have the Rated R Superstar nickname, we gotta have Tony come out and introduce him!

And team up with FTR so we can get "Rated FTR"!

Sounds like he really wants to end his career in AEW.

I hope his final match is with or against Christian. Can't think of a better ending.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Christian/Copeland wrestle at Full Gear for the TNT title. I can his final match being WITH Christian as that would probably be a better ending.

Especially if they both go out together.

There's rumors of a December show in Toronto, that could be when they first go one on one?

That's definitely a possibility as there's rumors of a December PPV and if it happens to be in Toronto, that's a good way to kick off the Christian/Adam feud.

December 10th and 17th are both wide open for bookings if they want either date for a PPV.

If I were them, I'd go for the 17th. You're sandwiched between a huge amount of Leafs and Raptors games. Easy opportunity to just send your talent to the city for days and just promote during those games. You have a Saturday night Leafs game against Crosby and the Pens. Send Edge and Christian to that game to promote the PPV.
