In the past it used to be a reward for buying early that you get face value or cheaper than face value tickets for specific seats you want.
Now, it's basically pay MORE money early to get the seats you want/guarantee you're going to the event. But if you don't care, it's better waiting because prices will drop and other seats will open up for cheaper.Comment

Double or Nothing obviously will go 4 hours (Hangman/Ospreay basically confirmed it on Dynamite when they were talking about maim eventing and following 3 hours of action).
Despite that, I'd say there's probably 2 or maybe 3 matches on the card I don't care a whole lot to watch.Comment

So far, All Out tickets look to be $1500 for ringside, $350+ for some 100 level seats.
Rest haven't gone on sale yet, but if this is the trend in AEW and WWE going forward, you're definitely going to quickly price out the real fans.
And unlike hockey and basketball where prices in some markets are so insane that the real fans get priced out, you don't have corporations lining up to buy tickets for clients/employees regardless what price you charge.

AEW has removed Mariah May from their website.
Looks like another talent on their way to WWE.
I hope she goes straight to the main roster and doesn't just get put in NXT for a few months.
Depending when her deal is up, does she appear at MITB (would almost be fitting for the hardcore fans to see since her last AEW match was the Hollywood Ending, then she appears in WWE in their LA PLE)? Or could we see her debut at Evolution?
That would be a big debut having Evolution end with her coming out to challenge someone like Iyo (or Rhea if she wins the title).
WWE also has a UK tour scheduled for August, so her debuting in July and them possibly inserting her into a title picture in time for Clash in Paris could work.Last edited by Majingir; 05-30-2025, 01:42 PM.Comment

Like we get it, WWE is still the end all, be all of Wrestling. It's the goal of every wrestler to make it to WWE, the goal to perform at a WrestleMania or to be able to say you were in the main event of WrestleMania. I mean, The Lucha Brothers have got to be the fastest to have a WrestleMania match from their debut to Mania, Penta debuted in January and obviously Fenix was a last second replacement because of Rey's injury but still kind of crazy. Even for WWE talent who went to AEW, I still see plenty of them returning at some point to finish their career there. Jericho, Moxley, obviously as long as Bayley is in WWE you can't count out a Mercedes/Sasha Banks return.Comment

AEW has obviously been a huge benefit to the business of Pro Wrestling, wrestlers can now pit WWE & Triple H against each other in a bidding war to get the most money possible, and of course we as fans win because depending on where the superstars land. We get to see matches we thought we would never see, we get to see some talent outside of the WWE bubble, we get to see talent in WWE, etc. I will say, it is real worrying that Tony Khan keeps losing homegrown talent to WWE. He builds up homegrown AEW talent, then WWE poaches them when in reality he needs to find a way to keep them so he doesn't have to keep relying on WWE releases and New Japan Free Agents to replace them.

Mariah May for instance going in to WWE. She's not just viewed as some lesser known talent (to the average fan) who just came from the indies and competing in front of 300 fans with most of her matches just being footage you see on YouTube. She'll come in to WWE with many fans already knowing her potential and that she's a big name who could easily put herself in a title picture.
That's what's helped Penta and Fenix too is that many are already familiar with them.
She's also only 26! That's younger than the likes of Liv, Rhea, Lyra.
A big change from the TNA days where someone might "cross the line" and many just viewed it as "TNA signing another former WWE talent who was either boring in WWE or is a vet just going to TNA to collect money while working less dates in Florida". Or if a TNA talent came over to WWE, most fans weren't as familiar with them and they were basically starting from scratch (which hurts the talent too because they obviously spent years developing themselves and got to a character that was successful and had momentum, just to drop all of that)Last edited by Majingir; 05-30-2025, 09:41 PM.Comment

Britt posting a cryptic message online today.
All these dirt sheets keep saying she's signed until 2026, but given she hasn't competed since November, and had 5 total matches since October 2023 (due to health reasons for most of it), would AEW just let her go? If you have no use for using her and she wants to leave too, they could probably find a way to end her contract, save AEW all that money, and just let her go to WWE or wherever she wants.
Dirtsheets now saying she's trying to find a way out of AEW but they don't have interest in letting her go (at least not yet).
They don't want her to leave and show up at the recent Pittsburgh shows or upcoming Evolution show (would definitely steal some of the internet buzz having her show up in WWE during All In weekend, or likely even Summerslam).
Maybe their mind changes after the summer, because I doubt it'll change in the winter when you start to approach the rumble. IF you let her go, do so after the summer since September-December isn't as big a time of the year for WWE (though Wargames this year should be a great event) so it's not like she's walking over to the competition during a hot part of their year.

AEW Officially announced AEW All In 2026 to be taking place Sunday August 30th, 2026. This also means, another mega weekend of wrestling and likely an NXT event to take place on Sunday August 30th lol. Money In The Bank takes place the day before on Saturday August 29th in New Orleans, their makeup for not getting Mania next year. So WWE moved Money In The Bank to August to specifically counter AEW.... again.Comment

MITB and All In in the same weekend, we're definitely getting some NXT event like Heatwave on the Sunday.Comment

That is true, WWE did announce MITB first but I didn't think about it at first when they announced it. Like why did they move it to August, and why so late for Money In The Bank. Then it hit me when I saw the date for All in London next year, WWE moved MITB to that weekend specifically knowing AEW was going to be running an event that weekend as they have done the past few years. AEW All In was at the end of August in 2023 and 2024, Forbidden Door this year is taking place in London at the end of August in the same weekend All In has taken place.Comment

I'm joking but maybe not...
Edit-Maybe not joking either because Crown Jewel is on the 11th, so if they were thinking of having NXT on that Sunday, maybe they just move it back 1 week and have it the following weekend.Last edited by Majingir; 07-21-2025, 04:04 PM.Comment

WWE announces they're going to Japan for October 17 and 18th.
I wonder how they'll do live shows from there since they air SD live now on Netflix internationally.
Do they air it at 7am ET which would be 8pm local time? But it would appeal to international crowds since that would be Saturday afternoon (Friday for SD) for them.
And NXT possibly having a PLE in the night I could see happening to further counteract AEW.
Saturday isn't announced as a televised show, and given they're doing Crown Jewel the week before, I'd imagine they're not doing back to back weekend PLEs.Comment

Obviously internet rumors could mean nothing, but one report says that Hurt Syndicate aren't going over well backstage since they're refusing to put people over and have heat with creative.
Could explain why MJF was so suddenly/randomly kicked out of the group just like that if they don't have much plans for the group going forward.
MVP (justified or not) burning the bridges he did with WWE/HHH could become true in AEW too if those rumors have some truth to it.Comment
