So they'd have a guy they only bring out for a match every few months to pop the crowd and sell some t-shirts. They already have Goldberg for that.
I think he'd still be a big one, there are a lot of WWE loyalists, and a ton of people who still don't know AEW exists, and even more who have no idea that he even went on the rant and that's not touching on the legions of CM Punk marks. It wouldn't set social media ablaze again, or at least in the same way, but there's just no way I'd see his merch sales slowing or the events where he's advertised struggling to sell tickets, CM Punk is still an attraction.

The only reasons you wouldn't: HHH still hates Punk and Punk still hates HHH, the money you pay him might be more than the money you're making from him. Otherwise, as much as I prefer the actual wrestling part of the business, wrestling is a business about making money.

More and more, this such a horrible look for Khan and AEW, and Punk obviously. An embarrassing failure all around.

Interesting tweet…not for the content because I wholly agree.

        But who liked the tweet.

The Sheets are picking back up on some stories from Brawl Out in Chicago.

          - The investigation is over. The Elite still told not to talk about it.
          - Punk has been told that as well, but yet his camp now says that Larry was injured when the door was kicked in.
          - Source…es say that didn’t happen.
          - Jericho allegedly called Punk a cancer right to his face.
          - Other “top key names” are refusing to work with Punk, hence the buy out negotiations.

Maybe don't bring your wife and pet into a workplace environment that you intentionally set on fire.

What does his wife have to do with it? I haven't ever heard of her being with him at shows or backstage?

But I'm leaning on the side of the dog story being false.

If rumors are true and Bucks came with the head of the AEW legal team when confronting Punk, I think there would be a big lawsuit at hand if their head of legal was with guys who kicked a door down/in, even if she was just there for witness purposes.

And the door being "kicked in" which also hurt the dog? I don't think they'd kick the door in, dog gets hurt, THEN words get exchanged and fight later breaks out.

We might never know the full truth of what happened, but I'm sure whoever investigated it will know at least how the Bucks got in the room (there has to be security footage from outside the lockerroom).

Some of the recent reports about it made it sound like she was there, but if not that's my bad. Still, I've no sympathy for him.

I knew Ace's wife was in the room, but this would be the first I'd heard that April was there with Punk.

Punk doesn't get nor deserve the benefit of the doubt since he's burned bridges time and time again...and again in this situation.

I find it hilarious yet believable that he was "voted off the island" by AEW wrestlers.

Their next opponent happens to be the Steelers.

                        Britt Baker is torn.

Does Britt Baker know about this and if she does, how devastating this must be for her.

Since BCC vs JAS is played out, The Elite and Kenny are still not in TV, I admit I'm losing interest week to week. It seems like so much of the booking has already been done before and the wheels are spinning in place.

Also, I know it seems unlikely after the Gripe Bomb...but I want CM Punk back as the final boss in Jericho's "The Ocho" run through old ROH champions.

Jericho has such a recognizable voice that you can tell it's him from the start lol. His clue being "Smashed a Rock" lol.
