    Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread

    Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

Ok I kept multi-tasking while watching this week's Dynamite but from what I was seeing, it was a good episode. A lot of progression for storylines and start of new ones. Cody Rhodes had a quick squash match and then a new feud post-match with Penta. Lol at Omega's promo as he tried to cover up for the ring explosion botch. Its fine with me. Christian Cage comes out and seems to be after Omega already? You can jump right in for a World Title shot like that? I guess since Brodie Lee did it, so can Christian I guess.

I want to care for the Women's division but many of them dont have characters except for the ones we do see weekly. Maki Itoh was funny for singing her theme song while the match was going on. I really want to see Hikaru Shida drop the belt. Its been a few years already and I still dont know her character. The TNT Title match was good too as I have nothing bad to say about it. Lastly, that Inner Circle segment was worthy to end the show. Talk about a plot twist from MJF. Was this an official face turn for the Inner Circle? We will see how this storyline unfolds.

Y'all really forgot about Hell in a Cell 2019's ending, huh? It's okay, I did too. But don't act like WWE hasn't done stupid endings before.

At least AEW rebounded nicely with Mox/Kingston's explanation. WWE just pretended HIAC 2019 didn't happen, which is far worse.

I think there’s a difference in a lousy finish and trying to trick everyone in to the thinking they’re about to see some crazy Japanese **** and getting a worse fireworks display than I put on in my driveway every 4th of July. Lol

Not really, a bad ending is a bad ending. One was poor booking (HIAC) and one was poor production (AEW). In the end neither delivered what they had hoped.

WWE also lit a mannequin with a body type that looked nothing like Bray Wyatt on fire and played it off if he was set on fire. They’re not above doing goofy ****

They’ve done more goofy shot than anyone. But that’s now what we are talking about here. Or at least not what I’m talking about.

No one is saying they don’t do goofy ****. We’re saying when they do decide to do goofy ****, from a technical stand point, it’s generally executed properly.

And lol a poorly booked finish is absolutely not the same thing as a mis produced finish.

Can we stop talking about fireworks and talk about how they swerved us.

We all knew MJF was going to turn on Jericho.

We just didn’t think he was going to start his own stable. And now Inner Circle are baby faces.

I want to see Santana and Ortiz in a long program with FTR.

I never had a problem with the Fiend stuff. What were people expecting? A stunt double taking that burning in the ring? Do they forget the RKO WHILE he was literally on fire?

That's the great part about these kinds of swerves. You know something like that is coming, but still get shocked when it happens because it didn't happen the way you thought.

Things like that are what needs to happen in wrestling more often. Do people tune in for the realness and authenticity or do they tune in for stories and twists?

                              Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

Is Lance Archer becoming the Big Show of AEW?

So, he starts as a monster heel (but loses his big match to Cody), turns face (sort of) and now he's likely turning heel again.

Does Tony Kahn have any understanding of how a "part - time" wrestler works? Sting won his big match at the PPV, so now put him on ice until something worthwhile can be built up.

We don't need to see him on t.v. every week taking up time that can go elsewhere.
