Both saw an increase on their new night from the previous week. Now obviously, NXT was coming off Takeover so we'll have to see how they do without Takeover or specials. AEW doing a million is quite crazy considering they aren't coming off any big PPV explosions or news, just another week of TV that was losing viewers over the last month.

It's interesting how both AEW & NXT seem to cater more toward the hardcore fans, but it does seem AEW may be pulling in more casuals? We know from NXT callups that people who watch RAW or SD don't know who some NXT stars are and why it seems NXT stars are so watered down on the main roster. I think WWE was hoping those who watch RAW & SD and are casual fans, would tune in to NXT but it seems that might not be happening.

I don't even think Charlotte when she was Champion did anything to move the ratings last year. To me it seems those casuals who tune in every once in a while or every reunion show to see Stone Cold are now tuning in to AEW.

AEW is doing more celebrity crossover stuff, and leaning into the sports entertainment. Not really surprised at that viewership and rating. AEW seems more accessible and mainstream than NXT. NXT should be bigger than they are, but that's obviously not a priority for WWE.

I dont think NXT even needs to be "bigger".

The whole appeal of NXT is that it's not Raw or SD, and isn't produced in that way.

Even the small things like when NXT first introduced the NXT womens title when WWE was still going with the divas title, it made NXT feel so much cooler.

Last thing you should want from NXT is to basically be "Raw Jr" or WWECW 2.0

If AEW consistently gets over 1m viewers, I wonder if WWE will finally start doing something.
Thy are probably close to NXT’s 800,000 without a Mike Tyson

AEW did 1.1 million. How long before WWE pulls the Jericho episode of Stone Cold's show? [emoji23]

Maybe WWE got A&E and AEW confused lol.

But it's good to see another 1m+ episode.

Able to do that despite them not having the best of shows and the lack of fans, if they could build on this once the shows start filling up with fans again, that'll be huge for them.

I'm sure TNT is loving those numbers. Is AEW outdrawing NBA?

They had done over a mil with NXT as competition in the past, so we probably should not be surprised.

Why is one million the key number?

Over 1m sounds better than 950k or something like that.

Same reason why a $10 tip is way nicer than a $9.50 and a 1 carat Diamond seems way better than a .95 carat
