    Re: AEW Rampage Thread

Dante Martin has a ton, ton of potential, but I wish he'd slow his offense down and incorporate anything other than the high flying/risk stuff.

Otherwise, he'll fan into the trap of only knowing how to work the high flying/indy style, which is en vogue today, but increases the chance of serious injury.

      Re: AEW Rampage Thread

I’m glad to see that Orange Cassidy channeled the fans during the prematch interview, saying that this has been going on too long.

Indeed it has Orange. Hopefully after tomorrow night, the Best Friends and the HFO don’t step in the same ring for a long, long, long, long long long long, long time.

Oh man what an experience. Had a lot of fun with Dark getting some local legends some burn, and then Daivari/Martin also ruled. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Jeez…Billy Gunn looks huge compared to half of AEW’s roster.

Every match Red Velvet is in is sloppy as hell.

That's cause he is bigger than a majority of the roster.

I like how they made it a little more believable with Darby having to hit two coffin drops. Would've looked silly beating Gunn with just one of those.

Red Velvet is terrible. Not sure why they invest so much television time in her. She should be relegated to Dark and Dark Elevation only.

I’ve noticed that I’m taking Jurassic Express more serious since they have seemingly phased out Marko Stunt.

                Thank God.

Can they just break up Jurassic Express, already?

"Jungle Boy" needs to be repackaged and Luchasaurus needs to be pushed as a solo act.

I know I'm in the minority in that thinking, just my opinion, but is the kid supposed ****ing Tarzan or something. Just a stupid gimmick...

Having him gone is an improvement, but I still prefer these two on their own or doing something else. And dropping the goofy Tarzan cos-play gimmick too.

                      Re: AEW Rampage Thread

Wrestling got smaller, Billy Gunn stayed the same size and became a bigman lol. But honestly ever since wrestling started becoming a TV product, and less of a live event product, the size of these guys has become more and more irrelevant. You couldn't tell The Rock was 6'5 on TV, and all the years Billy Gunn was in WWE he could have been 5'10 for all we knew.

People have been saying for years that he is a future star, but man he has a severe charisma deficiency. 99% of the time he's on camera he has a blank look on his face.

Totally disagree with your second point.

Even with it being more a televised product and less of a live event show, the bigger guys still "pop" and have a presence to them.

Probably why I harp about Luchasauras so much cause he has the size and "presence" that a lot of other AEW talent lack.

Right, I don't see a star when I watch this kid wrestle and he's definitely a charisma vacuum.

And the weird hairstyle, goofy look and gimmick don't help at all.

Plus, he's *** on the mic too. Perfect example of the fact that the audience isn't always right, IMO.

Right, crazy that the son of an actor has little or no charisma and can't talk on the mic.

Definitely don't see the appeal of the kid, but the people that like him were probably following him in the indy circuit. He can wrestle so that is one good thing he has going even if he's still relatively green.
