Sammy quit Inner Circle. Sting and Darby are in a six man tag with Sammy against the AHFO.

Fun to see something very rare in AEW. Bayley's dorky ex - boyfriend jumping in to nearly get destroyed.

Spears is just as much as jabroni as he ever was in WWE.....SMDH

****, forgot they went with him "walking out" on the group once again three weeks ago (or there about). I guess that means Inner Circle is dead with last week's tag match being the payoff.....

And the worst part is it didn't lead to bigger things for Santana and Ortiz, who likely are still behind two or three teams in the (tag team) peaking order. Maybe after Revolution and the Jericho/Kingston feud they get a bigger push.

Shout out to Kayla Sparks…she gets beat up on Rampage by Serena Deeb, and gets kissed on the Los Lotharios Kiss Cam on Smackdown.

With the difference being WWE actually got him pretty over for awhile.

I was having this discussion with a friend yesterday. Which former WWE talent actually improved their station on the card and got more over by going to AEW? Black comes to mind first but he’s still a midcarder just with an infinitely better and more over character. Is there anyone else? I feel like the moves have been 99% lateral or in some cases backwards (Spears, Pac, Rusev)

Spears: "The powerbomb symphony thing; it isn't working."

The continued build up of Wardlow's face turn feels like it's getting better every week. Spears is going to find himself a victim of the Powerbomb Symphony soon enough.

It all depends what you like I guess. Rusev Day, Perfect 10, etc. those are T-shirt/merch gimmicks that get over with the fans and then fizzle out. I much prefer God’s favorite champion, the chairman, and the bastard to Fandango gimmicks myself. Even if their characters aren’t reduced to a catchphrase you can slap on a T-shirt.

I never liked Cesaro in WWE. So I hope he doesn’t go to AEW. But feels like a foregone conclusion. The guys I really wanted were Owens and Wyatt. I need more talkers. They have enough amazing in-ring talent.

                  Re: AEW Rampage Thread

Nobody who made a name for themselves in WWE I felt like have surpassed their WWE peak in AEW.

However, I feel like where guys were on their way out of WWE vs where they are in AEW is mostly a better spot.

Miro wasn't doing much and was stuck in that horrible Lana/Lashley story (the only parts of it I liked were Rusevs random lines "It is I, Rusev, from Rusev Day!" and the ending lead to the hurt business, but that had nothing to do with Rusev). At least going to AEW put him in a better spot than that, even if the bar was low.

FTR weren't anything special once called up to the main roster in WWE, but when your boss gives you his opinion of you in the form of that gimmick he had planned for them, the writings on the wall at that point. They're not THE team in AEW, but they've definitely been able to do bigger things than the main roster in WWE.

Guys like Spears, Pac, Black, they had no direction in WWE. WWE never understood Blacks character. Spears was barely on TV anymore. At least in AEW he's getting TV time, even if it's as the hype man for the pinnacle. And Pac was reduced to being a 205 live guy and that was it.

To sum it up, guys might not be big name top end talent in AEW, but I'm sure they're happier, have more freedom, less stress, and most importantly, probably making a similar pay while working a lighter schedule.

Mox was at the very top of the card in WWE and FTR was multiple time tag champs. Granted FTR had fallen off because they’re stunningly boring so I’ll give them that.

Mox's debut alone was a bigger deal than anything he had done as a solo act in WWE.

That's a matter of opinion, though. I'm pretty sure him cashing in the MITB briefcase on Seth, after Seth just beat Roman, was a bigger "deal" or at least in my opinion it was.

No not at all. Maybe you could argue on the same level but def not bigger.

The best part of Rampage last night?

The Butcher coming down to the ring for a beat down while eating a pork chop. That had me rolling.
