Is there currently actual brand separation? I haven't watched the product enough to know anymore.

Yes and no which is what makes the split exciting. If HHH is actually in charge, maybe he will try for a stricter split. It was his "reign of terror" that peaked during the days when the brand split was the most prominent.

I definitely see some NXT names coming through the draft. HHH said it'll be the biggest ever, I think having a bunch of NXT names coming through the draft makes sense.

Bron, Pretty Deadly, Zoey, Creeds, Dijak, Indi?

        Interesting note about tonight.

Even before the show there were reports Vince wasn't at SD. I hope that's true and hopefully a sign of things to come. If his job is just to stay in Stamford then that's fine, let HHH handle actually being there in person and controlling the shows.

And Cole specifically stating that HHH is "the man in charge".

So, Vince taking over creative was exaggerated (by the dirt sheets) as King suggested in his post. Feels like it was an overreaction just like the false rumor that WWE was being sold to the Saudis.

I think I'll just stick to Smackdown and see where things are headed. The crazy thing is the rumors didn't harm tonight's show and didn't galvanize the audience of the rival company.

So was this all much to do about nothing? I don't know.....[emoji2377]

Anyway, the actual show itself was solid. I wish they'd turn Shotzi heel, again, and give her some wins to build up real momentum.

Feels like she's stuck in the mud like Lacey and Sonya, just eating pins, and not going anywhere character or talent-wise.

Or or and hear me out on this one. Dirt sheets don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and throw **** at the wall to see what sticks and engage in monkey see monkey do reporting because they don’t have real sources or real insight into anything.

I saw a report this morning from PWT I think that Triple H booked Cody to lose at Mania and that was the plan all along, Raw was what Triple H had planned, Vince didn’t tear up any scripts, nor was anybody actually upset by his presence and that reports about Monday were exaggerated.

Of course this all comes after they along with every one else did the damage of saying Vince was fully back in charge and “causing chaos.”

This is low key what is wrong with wrestling. And it seem like everytime I block a wrestling “news site” on Facebook, another pops up in its place talking about more nonsense. Maybe it’s time to delete Facebook lol.

Riddle being involved in The Bloodline story is an immediate turn off.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

Wait.... so Wade Barrett said the reason Brock attacked Cody was because Cody was in the main event and he went on first? Just a few years ago, Brock didn't want to wait to main event and demanded to go on first at Mania 35.

If that's the reason... meh lol. I was hoping more for the Paul set Cody up by paying off Brock to take Cody out or something lol.

I came to post the complete opposite. Love him getting back involved with them. Hopefully this means we maybe see Randy able to come back as well to even the sides at 4/4

God I don't remember anything from Wrestlemania 35 looking back at it. What unmemorable garbage.

                      Yeah, Riddle is worthless.

I hate drafts. Just write the damn show where anyone could appear on any show at any time if the story dictates it. If you have too much talent, get rid of enough of it. We don't need two shows or two sets of belts or any of that ****.

If 2011-2015 is any indication of that, you really don't want no brand split. Talent got watered down so much because you see them twice a week every week, and SD would be Raw rematches, while the following weeks Raw would be a modified version of that rematch. It was a mess. One of the many reasons why NXT really started getting popular. WWE basically had their own WWE alternative.

That's why 2016 felt so refreshing because you had a split and specific stories for each show and you're only seeing talent once a week at most.

I'm still in favor of main champs being on both shows but that's it. One world champ, one women's world champ, one tag champs who can appear on each show, then you have one mid card men's titles per brand, one women's midard title per brand(no women's tag).

I agree though that they do need talent cuts. Looking at the roster, there's so many talent you could cut and it wouldn't impact TV shows at all.

Tozawa, Humberto, Angel, Roode (I'd hate seeing him never do anything good on the main roster, but he's probably better off back in Impact or AEW), Dana, Shanky, Aliyah, Lacey among the names they could cut.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

Smackdown was night and day vs Raw this week.

While I only have the last 3 years to go on recently, TBF, Smackdown is usually the better show.

I'm kind of glad they waited on Triple H coming out for that announcement. Let the show start off with a good match, throw in some more actual action and then let Trips come out.

Judgement Day segment was good if not just because people hate Dom. I feel like the smirk on Finn's face was actually sincere/legit like a "oh man young fella, look at this heat, it's awesome".

Main event was alright. Good story there except I'm not sure how Riddle fits in? I guess we'll see. He's got a lot of people to win over again or he could just plummet.

I'll give Raw another go Monday or maybe I'll just DVR it and start late/play catchup if it's good.

35 was unmemorable? Gotta disagree on that one.

Riddle was borderline main event ready/over. Plus he’s got that Sheamus quality where you’re not really excited to see him but by the end of the match you’re always like “damn that was amazing”

Kofi winning was memorable for me for personal reasons but other than that, yeah I don't remember **** about that Wrestlemania.

I also agree about Smackdown and Raw being night and day this week. I was entertained by most of Smackdown last night.
