That Raw felt like Vince was all up in the weeds and rolling around in them.

Vince was fully in charge last night and was changing everything all night long.

So much for letting Triple H run things and staying out of the weeds.

      This sucks.

When he said staying out of the weeds, he really meant he won't hang around Riddle after he returned 12 hours later.

I agree with all the posts about saying how disappointing it was. The main event really could have saved the show if it played out.

Do we think there is a chance they merge titles with a Rhea vs Bianca match?

Everything I saw last night then about Vince being involved was true apparently. And I'm highly upset. Dude needs to go away. I don't want to stop watching the product especially because I've got my best friend actually taking an interest in it and that makes me happy....but **** if this keeps going like this I'll have no choice but to go back to just watching the PPV's.

Trying not to be all doom and gloom this morning but c'mon man. You made the sale. Go the **** away.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

I've been using OS for almost 10 years, and this is the first time I've wandered into this thread.

Background: Started watching as a kid sometime in the 80s, started watching the syndicated weekend morning shows in 1989, stayed on until about 1995. Came back for the Attitude Era and left again as the Ruthless Aggression Era started full steam (which is weird since I like Cena, Lesnar, RKO and Bautista, etc. I didn't have cable and streaming wasn't a thing yet so that's a big reason). Came back at the start of the pandemic in 2020 as it was the only new thing on was hooked again. I did tune out for a while last year since I was so sick of Vince's bulls*it but came back when he took what ended up being a sabbatical.

Alright, that all said and you all knowing where I come from... Last night was trash. Totally reeked of VKM and reports are coming out of that he was indeed running things. HHH opened the show and had the headset on in Gorilla but VKM was back there most of the time too.

The lack of action and squash matches featuring Omos and Lashley felt like signs of VKM rewriting things as the show was going and Trips just sitting there letting him because, well, he is the boss again. Brock flipping off everyone as the show ended really felt like Vince too.

The few good points were the fact that they did swerve us in the Main Event whether we like it or not. Yeah, some IWC folks are tooting their own horns saying called it...but they're like 50% correct at best; they thought Brock would turn but not like that. Maybe mid-match or post-match.
The Profits vs KO/Zayn was good. I did like them setting up a program for Rhea and the EST.
I'll watch SmackDown on Friday and hope for better. I might DVR Raw next week...

Especially how public talent have been about loving the "shift in power behind the scenes"(not directly saying Vince leaving, but basically saying it without saying it).

                  Just sucks all around.

Bayley was a Vince late pull from the Show.

Seth's segment changed WHILE HE WAS IN THE RING!

                    What the ****?

I don't understand how you can change a show while it's airing. That's such a wild concept. Unless something ya know drastic happens obviously but to just throw away a script or whatever is WILD. It's called planning for a reason. I understand plans change and that's different but again, those are usually known in advance so you can adjust BEFORE the show goes live.

                      I just....ugh. I've never worked on a wrestling show but I can't imagine that's healthy.

                        It's not, man.

It's why the reports of the superstar morale is shot. Nobody knows what he is going to do in 2 minutes...does he even?

If all the reports are true and Vince is back in charge (making last minute changes during the show [emoji2365]) then I might have to take a break until SummerSlam.

Can't believe the idiots at Endeavor agreed to keep him around in any capacity. I'm not a mega Vince ***** - I do acknowledge that he is a scumbag and "ruthless" businessman - but it's been past time to retire and hand over the reigns of WWE to someone else.

How can he see that product engagement is up, "morale" is high (dirtsheets were quick to go back to "morale is low" narrative [emoji38]), and ratings are steady or improving (I assume), but now is the time **** that all over to feed his ego and need for control? SMDH

Endeavor was always going to let Vince do what he wanted. I swear, these people who partner with WWE never watch the product regularly. They just see $$, and who cares about if the show is "good" or makes sense. Just have stuff happen and enjoy the ratings. They see zero difference between months long Bloodline stories or a thrown together match on Raw.

HHH has admitted that too. The sponsors they have aren't even fans and when they take them to a show they are blown away at what WWE actually is (he claims they end up loving it).

Not that you need to know or watch WWE to sponsor them, but if you're owning them, maybe you should....

Imagine someone buying the Lakers or Yankees and all they can tell you about the team or sport in general is "I know who Kobe and Jeter are".

Sure, they'll hire a GM to run the actual team, but if the person that GM is reporting to has no idea what it even takes to build a team and that you're building a team to win and that fans will like, not just signing any players and selling merchandise and tickets, that's a problem.

I can just picture someone at ringside yelling at Rollins "Your segment is over!" and Rollins thinks that just means the crowd really loves it before realizing they've cut away from him on the tron.
