I guess the Bayley stuff was just blown out of proportion, wonder if this was the plan last week to start teasing a split before she was written off the show. It definitely felt like a Triple H show with storyline continuity compared to the million rewrites of RAW last week.

Also... the interference stuff with the Bloodline is hurting the group. The fact it happens so constant, and one of the members saves the other is getting to the point where it hurts the group and not help. It jumped the shark when Solo debuted and cost Drew, and it was overkill when Solo returned to the ring after he was banned and cost Cody. Then Solo needs help to beat KO? There's interference to progress a storyline but there's also too much interference which hurts the storyline.

I don’t disagree with the contestant interference hurting them a bit. It’s just becoming predictable. But I disagree with the two examples you gave. Those were great and pretty unexpected.

I kinda had a feeling Trish was gonna turn when she was gonna fill in. But I wish they had written that better. I’m never a fan of roll up wins. I would have rather Trish knocked Becky out during the match. I guess the roll up provides some credibility to the new champions since they did technically earn them. Still wish it had been a bit different.

I fell asleep for the rest so no idea how it was haha

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

The bar was pretty low after last week; this week's show cleared it by 10 feet easily.

I know a lot of folks are tired of the Dom v Rey thing but I think it still has some legs and will make it to BackLash just fine. Dom's stumbling on his words was actually golden IMO and added something to that character.

Finn and Rey worked great together. Boring "heel cheats" ending but it's a trope that's not going away anytime soon.

TBH, 12+ hours later I've forgotten a good chunk of the show between that and Cody. I guess that just means it was kind of average. Nothing memorable.

Cody referencing the rubber chicken? Chef's kiss. His promo talking about Brock and a challenge was solid too. Cody just has a natural talent when it comes to mic. Chip off the old block.

Oh wait, Trish/Becks vs Liv and Raquel was before that I thought it was an OK match. Glad to see them do something for Liv and Raquel and I'm intrigued to see where they go with the Becky v Trish maybe featuring Lita angle.

Heyman. Oh man that Heyman interview was great. We're blessed he's in the business and for as long as he has been. Should continue to be since he started so young!

Usos and Alpha was great. Wish they'd given Alpha a roll up win or something. Otis and Gable are just too entertaining to be glorified enhancement talents.

Solo and KO put on a decent show. Agreed with the groan-worthy Bloodline interference but it's to be expected. Riddle and Sami appearing when they did was great. Almost made the travel issues thing seem kayfabe but it wasn't.

So yeah, decent show, much better than last week.

Obviously "just don't read them", which I don't, but I hate how things like this exists. It just hurts the product when a big part of your show is shock value and tuning in to find out what's happening, just for people to have all that info out there.

I'm surprised WWE isn't stricter on this kind of stuff. Go full Disney/Marvel and make it insanely hard to leak stuff or else.
Yeah I know what you mean. Part of it was the re-writes on the fly but if there's one thing I miss about Vince's creative it was fewer leaks. I don't know if Trips just doesn't care? Maybe he and others under him think they're a good thing? Get people going "oh hey I want to see that" ? They've proven they can keep things air tight too though (McAfee at Rumble) so idk.

Even during Vince days I think there were too many leaks.

Part of me feels like the leaks are intentional. Maybe someone upset with HHH in control and Vince being ousted? You know there will be people like that within the company too.

Every once in a while someone will post a nearly full rundown of what matches and segments are scheduled. I assume that's what he's talking about.

Or maybe it happens every week, I don't know. I just see it sometimes when Twitter switches to the For You feed.

Ya, before the show the entire rundown got leaked.

I tried to avoid it but I did see Balor vs Mysterio was on it already. Wouldn't be surprised if Trish,Becky vs Liv,Raquel was on it too which means people would've suspected a Trish heel turn before the show even began.

I hated everything about that last segment so much. I despise Liv, she is hands down my least favorite wrestler in the company. Sonya is being completely and utterly wasted. Raquel somehow seems to regress each and every week, it’s impressive. Chelsea is awesome but she makes me miss the Iconics so I’m forced to hate her for that.

Now Madcap is on my screen. What is the point of this dude? He blows.

Weird that they’re doing the rematch on smackdown in two weeks when Backlash is a week later

I'd be down for Solo vs Riddle inside the fight pit in PR.

Heyman: You will lose the tag titles because the tribal chief is losing patience with the both of you.

                        You know what that means.

The things we don't see on TV often end up being better than what we do see.

Sonya/Chelsea storming out after losing, camera tries catching up with them, and Sami Zayn literally has a "what did I just walk in to" cameo after.

Becky Lynch claims she won't be on Raw tonight.

Is she actually not showing up or does she blindside Trish?

I could see her not showing up if they really want to drag this out until SS.

Maybe we get a Trish/Lita only segment in the ring?

This doesn't make sense at all. Your tag partner blindsides you, and your response is not revenge. It's to not show up. Gives off the cowardly vibe. Even if she is trying to trick Trish and blindside her back, just don't announce that you will be there or not be there.

Rumors saying she's hurt so maybe they just did this now to write her off, which I don't mind. One of the things missing in the social media days are writing people off due to injuries. Too often nowadays we just see some announcement online about how someone got injured in a match or something and they're out.

So the person just leaves for a while and nobody benefits from it either. At least writing someone off gives them something as soon as they return while also adding to someone else who was the one responsible for them being out.
