Anyone else try these ratings? Some reason, I feel 2k reduced the separation between wrestlers. In other words, an 80 OVR with great ratings, is not that much different from a 50 OVR. As mentioned previously, Lesner LOST to Goldust in a AI v AI match.
If you look at the rating they both have, you'll be surprised like I was. Goldust dominated the match. I think 2K rigged it so all matches are "close" now.
Regardless, I also think the HP ratio makes a difference. If there aren't many moves that affect the arms or legs, my thought is to raise those ratings and reduce the head and body HP for the mid carder / jobbers. This way, they take damage faster. It seems to work a little...
Anyone experiment with these? Any suggestions or findings?Comment

I just got into this game recently, and finished putting in your latest version of these ratings last weekend. I'll be working on my universe set-up and hopefully give it a go this weekend.
While I was putting in all of the changes, I was thinking about asking how much the ratings differences truly show through and if it would make a difference. I did play one match on version 6 and noticed a marked difference as i played SCSA vs. Adam Rose. It never felt that there was even a chance for Rose to win which was a great improvement, and felt much better, to play instead of vanilla IMO.
Hopefully the Golddust/Lesnar fight is an anomaly. I know the amount of time it took just to simply enter these ratings in my game...I can't imagine how many hours you have put in trying to get this fixed up for all of us only to perhaps have 2K artificially "hand-hold" matches and superstars. Keep trying these out...let me know your thoughts. Hyperballer and VTCB also have rerates they are working on. So you have plenty of options to get the game to your liking.
I tried to rate these according to the character, not the person. That's why some ratings seem odd. I feel youhave to over or under rate some guys to get desired results. Example....strike speed. The faster strkes equals more damage dealt which means more "How did he beat him" matches....and in my testing, there wasn't much difference between a 80 and 50 strike speed.Comment

So I made slight adjustments to Goldust. But, the big thing is that I adjusted the Hit Point ratio for each wrestler. I used Hyperballer's HP ratio for Brock Lesner, (32/30/20/18) but I put Goldust's HP ratio at 22/22/28/28.
From what I remember from past versions of this game, majority of moves used in the game are Head and Body attacks. Very few are legs and arms.
In two matches, Brock dominated both (finally). He was barely showing yellow and Goldust depleted fast. Brock won both matches with an F5.
So there is hope and I think the HP ratios plays a huge part.Comment

So for main eventers we should copy Brock's hit points and for low/mid carders goldust's ratio? Or will you do all wrestler and update the spreadsheet?

I edited the hit point ratio, I didn't have a match to test it fully (a squash for example), but i have a question:
As much as i love the slow pace of 2k16, the amount of working holds (chin locks etc.) is starting to p*** me off. Is there a way to tone it down? I tried to lower the chain grapple duration but it didn't do anything, so it's not that.Comment

I had a 50ovr completely dominate Lesner and win. Made no sense. I think 2k followed EAs footsteps in that they are trying to make the matches close instead of basing it on the ratings.

Hey Stephen I have a question I'm working with out-of-the-box rosters I reset everything to default and I just wanted to something basic for str p I was thinking about shaving off 40 points for each wrestler and for everything else I was thinking of doing 20 what do you think I'm just trying to do something basic
