          4/4/16

Los Angeles (Nolan Ryan) @ St.Louis (Todd Wellemeyer)

It's opening day around the majors and we are in Saint Louis to face the Cardinals. Today was awful as I give up 9 hits, including a 2-run blast by Chris Duncan, in only 5 1/3 innings before being pulled with 2 on and 1 out in the 6th with the score 5-1 Cardinals. The runner was allowed to score plus our bullpen implodes, giving up 7 runs the next two innings as St.Louis wins in a rout, 13-3.

Los Angeles (Nolan Ryan) @ San Diego (Jake Peavy)

Another bad start for me as I can't get out of the 6th inning again. I am pulled with 1 out and no one on in the bottom of the 6th after allowing 12 hits and 6 runs. The score was 6-1 Padres as I again don't get any run support and we lose again, 7-1. Things have got to get better!

San Diego (Dontrelle Willis) @ Los Angeles (Nolan Ryan)

We have started our first homestand and are hosting the Padres, who whipped me bad the first time. I actually pitched pretty good this time, only allowing 2 runs and 9 hits through 8 innings, but Willis completely shuts us down on 3 hits and we lose, yet again, 2-0.
              Code:

Arizona (Brandon Webb) @ Los Angeles (Nolan Ryan)

I guess that the only way for me to win is to shut down and out my opponent. We are hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks and I only allow 6 hits and strike out 8 through 8 innings of shut out ball. I am pulled after allowing a double to the first hitter in the 9th but he is stranded and I get my first win, 3-0.

We have started our latest road trip in San Francisco to take on the hated Giants. I am pulled in the bottom of the 8th after getting the first batter out. I allowed 7 hits and 2 runs and leave the game with us in front, 4-2. The Dodgers' lineup plates 4 more runs in the top of the 9th as we win, 8-2.

Glad to see you got you feet back on the ground after a rough start. Also, at least you have something good to look forward to as the Dodgers aren't completely terrible now and you may have a chance to pitch in the post season if they keep it up.

Anyways, good luck with the move.

Note: the move has finally begun.

I have also been figiting around with the first edition of Head Coach (before the 2005 NFL draft & 2006 season). The games are only 20 minutes (5 min quarters) but I am getting a good amount of plays in to get near the average for an NFL game.

Please stay tune for the never ending coaching of Coach Knight.

Also, thanks duke for the feedback and post, always appreciated from you and the rest of the readers.

We are at home as the Cubs head into town. Except for one 1-2-3 inning, I give up a hit an inning and I am pulled with two outs in the top of the 8th after allowing an infield single, with us in front, 2-1. The bullpen holds on as the Dodgers defeat the Cubs, 2-1 to even my record at 3-3.
