New York Taking Charge, Lead NLCS 2-0!!!!!

Mets up 2-0 after beating Phillies in front of hometown fans in Game 2 of the NLCS.

The Mets defeated the Phillies 5-3 last night in Game 2 of the NLCS, opening up a 2-0 lead in the series. The club got a big home run from Carlos Beltran, who went 1-for-3 and had 2 RBI's. It was a "quality start" for Johan Santana, who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, but it was also a no-decision for him, as he was long gone when the game was decided. Pedro Feliciano needed only 1 innning of work to get the win, his 1st of the postseason, in relief of starter Johan Santana. Greg Golson was forced to leave the game early after getting injured (knee sprain). He's day-to-day.

John Maine (0-0, 1.28) gets the start in Game 3 of the series at Citizens Bank Park, with the Phillies turning to Brett Myers (0-1, 2.84).

I'm trying man, seems like I have time for 2 hours of gaming a day at the most anymore. Fallout 3 DLC, Sacred 2, Assassins Creed, Infamous Undiscovery and MLB 08 "The Show" are all within that time frame for single player, but my friend from work always seems to have me on playing Call of Duty. It's tough to get updates even, but I'm trying to make it a priority at least once a day to get a game updated. Sorry it's moving so slowly. It really feels like I'm sitting at home watching the playoffs every night and during the day at work the anticipation is there to see if the Mariners can do it!!!! I'm trying my best though. I'm going to get the ALCS and NLCS in this weekend, that's my goal.

Mariners pick up win in pivotal ALCS contest, lead 2-1 over Yankees.

The hometown Mariners gave their fans plenty of drama in Game 3 of the ALCS last night, needing 12 innings to slip past the Yankees 8-7 and grabbing a 2-1 series lead. Sean Green snared the victory (his 1st of the postseason) in extra frames, firing 3 innings of relief and allowing no runs on 2 hits. Offensively the club was led by Carlos Peguero, who went 3-for-3 with 1 RBI.

The Mariners will send Miguel Batista (0-1, 9.64) to the mound in Game 4 of the series at Safeco Field, while the Yankees give the nod to Andy Pettitte (1-0, 5.40).
