Phillies Clinch Playoff Birth!!!!!



Home victory over Nationals extra sweet for Phillies, who capture NL Wild Card with loss by Cardinals.

The Phillies and their fans celebrated at Citizens Bank Ballpark last night, as Philadelphia crushed Washington 15-3 to secure the NL Wild Card after learning St. Louis lost to Cincinnati 10-0 at Busch Stadium. The win moved the Phillies and Cardinals into a tie, but the Phillies owned the tie-breaker pushing them into the playoff spot. Pedro Feliz went 3-for-4 in the game, belting 2 home runs and driving in 7 runs.

The Phillies will head to Los Angeles to open the division series against the Dodgers.
