Bradford blows it again, Yankees stay close to Red Sox with dramatic victory!!!!!

Bronx, NY - If there's one thing that the O's desperately need in the off season, it's that go-to guy coming out of the bullpen. Once again, Chad Bradford gave up a game winning home run, this time to Shelley Duncan in the 8th inning, erasing a 5-3 Orioles lead. The "Bombers" got of to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning, capped by a Jorge Posada 2-run home run, but the Orioles stormed back, picking up single runs in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings, including Luke Scott's 28th home run of the year and another RBI for Nick Markakis, pushing his total to 109. Troy Patton looked good once again, going 7.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits and striking out 8, but his potential victory was spoiled when Bradford gave up the game winning home run. Mariano Rivera came into the 9th and snatched his 48th save of the season and keeping the Yankees to within a game and a half of Boston for the AL East crown. The series finale and the O's last road game of the season will be tomorrow.

Getting there my dear friend. Can't wait, just a lot of yard work lately. I'm having a new driveway put in and retaining wall. I'll hope to get another game in tomorrow, but look for the rest of the updates tonight for the previous day.

Dodgers Clinch NL West, Wait For October!!!!!

Dodgers send faithful fans home happy, clinch NL West title with victory over divisional rival Giants.

The Dodgers and their fans celebrated at Dodger Stadium last night, as Los Angeles defeated San Francisco 7-1 to secure the NL West crown. Brad Penny extended his personal win streak to 3, allowing 1 run and 4 hits over 8.2 innings to record his 17th win of the season. James Loney sparked the offense, going 2-for-5 and driving in 2 runs.

If the Giants are to avoid the sweep today at Dodger Stadium, they've got the right man on the mound, their ace Tim Lincecum (12-8, 3.18), who will face Derek Lowe (15-6, 3.48). Andrew Jones looks to build on his 10-game hitting streak.

Tough Yanks series. But I'm predicting 4 of 6 wins on your final home stand of the seasons. I'm a Sox fan but GO ORIOLES!

Thanks for following man. I'm hoping to sweep the Rays and hopefully somehow catch them, but I doubt that's happening. Really looking forward to the off-season and getting another one going.

Wang's had a great season. Rack up the tough losses of the season. I guess we are now ready to watch the playoffs.

Good to hear from you guys. Thanks for following.

Yeah, unfortunately I was on the losing end of a couple of those 20 wins gtm. I'm ready for the playoffs as well, I'm pulling for anyone but the Yankees.

I'm ready for the off-season also rizzo. Time to become a contender.
