    PADRES TOP PROSPECTS

    1. Lucas Giolito- RHP

    2. Byron Buxton- CF

    3. Max Fried- LHP

    4. Jedd Gyorko- 3B

    5. Rhymer Liriano- OF

    6. Casey Kelly- RHP

    ***Disregard above video***
    7. Yasmani Grandal- C

    8. Cory Spangenberg

    9. Walter Weickel

    10. Zach Eflin

Overall, we have a few very good arms and a few very good position prospects. The top 3 players on this list are high risk, high reward. We have a lot of really talented arms and a few impact bats but to get the key pieces we need, we will probably have to trade for them. We are trying to build a team much like the Braves and Phillies. A team with All Star Caliber arms backed by solid offense.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

I can't take you seriously if you have Giolito over Buxton, LOL.

It was a tough choice. Giolito has ace potential and not many organizations can say that they have that. Giolito has "plus" everything and Buxton is the same way. Both are game changers.

Scouts have said that he has the mind of Roy Halladay but the power of Justin Verlander and who did Byron Buxton compare himself to? Justin Upton.

I think scouts' comps are better than his own, haha. Not quite Verlander power. Alas, they're both great, and should be great for you.

George McGovern and John Schuerholz were cruising along the back roads of Wyoming in McGovern's army jeep. On the record, they where taking vacation time. But off the record, they where far from vacationing.

It was just like the western movies, nothing in sight besides wheat and cattle along with the occasional tractor.

McGovern pulled up next to his front porch and got out with a metal briefcase and a file that was stamped TOP SECRET. McGovern and John walked up the stairs to the man.

Just to give you a scope of what he's done to baseball other than the draft, He's the reason Pete Rose was banned from baseball. The only reason Pete says he gambled is because Beauregard has dirt on him that will ruin the legend of Pete Rose.

The Padres headed the STL after taking the series from the Angels. The Cardinals are half a game back now and we are 4.5 half back. We are slowly starting to fall out of contention however, Edinson Volquez and Carlos Quentin think otherwise. Quentin went out there and hit an absolute bomb giving us a 2-0 lead.

Then we got an unbelievable performance from Edinson Volquez who was on all night long and posted this awesome line:

Yessir. Things are looking up for us right now. Its always good to continue the pummling even when you go to play a different squad.

We handled the Cards pretty well in this game and I look forward to play some more high competition like them. Those types of games are always good. They prove that we have what it takes to compete with a first division team like the Cardinals.

The overall story to this has been a good read you have a lot of ideas that seem to be in the works. Here are two little things that crossed my mind while reading...

                  1. I like how you have turned the Padres front office through storyline into one of the seediest organizations in all of baseball. Something highly evil just seems to be approaching with all of these personalities combining in one city. The beaning of Kemp 4 times while hilarious, was the tip of the ice berg of the potential for the Padres if crossed. This is not your uncle's vanilla boring flavored Padres.

                  2. I equally like how Oakland is an implied purgatory for baseball players. It's funny because it's true... although I guess the As are trying to do a little better recently.

Thanks dude I really appreciate it! I am trying to bring the Padres back from the realm of mediocrity and turn them into one baseball's best dynasties come hell or high water.

George McGovern is going to do whatever it takes regardless of the consequences to build baseball's next Yankees, Braves or Red Sox. Nothing is going to be too crazy for this story!

OK for the final game before we move onto June, we go the Mets. They have some nice uniforms but I'm not a big fan of the stadium. It feels like your playing in a pit with the stands towering over you.

We came in about 5 games under .500. The season is starting to get more demoralizing by the day and its becoming more and more apparent that we won't win the division this year. Aside from that we have a few young promising talents showing up this year especially with this guy right here.

Joe "Wheelin dealin" Wieland. As a rookie he has been our most effective pitcher this season. He has impressed us by pitching extremely well against top division teams. The Mets aren't of that caliber but Wieland's ability to dominate low division teams has been equally impressive.

This line proves that Joe is the real deal and he is making a strong case to be our staff ace in the near future. We would go on to win this game and stay somewhat in the division race.

                            MONTHLY REPORT

Alright lets take a look at the month of May. This month may have sunk the Pads' boat to the postseason as they posted a decent 12-16. We would like to be closer to .500 but reality is starting to zero in on us.

Just by looking at this its apparent that we have a long way to go. We can't put away those teams that are in the lower tier. If we want to compete that will have to change.

Lets take a quick look at our MLB Organizational Award winners so far.

Hitter of the Month: Chase Headley, .262, 6HRs, 21 RBIs
Pitcher of the Month: Joe Wieland, 3-2, 2.99 ERA, 68 Ks.

                            AAA
Our AAA squad is getting the crap kicked out of them posting a record of 21-42 thus far. Our hitting is absolutely horrible and the only thing that has even swung in our favor has been Yasmani Grandel who is now an A potential.

To put this season in perspective, Casey Kelly is 2-9 with a 2.42 ERA, 72 Ks and 19 walks.

Hitter of the Month: Yasmani Grandel, .290, 7HRs, 33 RBIs
Pitcher of the Month: Eric Stults- 5-3, 2.39 ERA, 56 Ks

                            AA
The AA team has not fared much better but is at .500 thanks to its pitching. We are hopping that our reports from the farm show promise instead of defeat. The worst part is is that none of the players are even progressing to the points where they should be and perhaps the AAA and AA struggles are an organizational thing.

Hitter of the Month- Reymond Fuentes- .241, 1 HR, 8 RBIs
Pitcher of the Month- Jose De Paula- 6-4, 1.27 ERA, 56 Ks

Alright now back to the real fun. Today we squared off against the Snakes in our latest attempt to crawl out of the cellar. We got the crap kicked out of us in the first two games of the series and we decided that we were going to make our last stand on this fine Sunday.

Of course we whipped out the camo for today. Now this was just a rumor but the snakes where copping jokes at us saying that "Maybe the camo will hided the defeated look on their faces." Its that kind of stuff that makes **** happen for the Pads. When someone says something about our team it fires us up!

Alright here we go, no where close to .500 but who really cares? We are just playing to **** people off right now.

Lets get to the action, Bottom 5...

Carlos Quentin, See Ya! With the homerun by Quentin, it put the score at 3-2 for Hector "You don't know" Noesi. But the punks would score another in the 7th, putting us down 4-2.

Then with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th,

Carlos Beltran rolls a Yahtzee! Hail Yeah!!!

Inspired, Hector Noesi goes out and gets his money and finishes out the ball game with a whopping 10 Ks.

This was probably the best game that I've played this far. We were down but not out and we came back and stole a win!

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Its now the time that everyone has been waiting for. The most hyped moment yet in the short history of George McGovern's Padres Franchise. The Padres where eying a couple starting pitchers and a position player. Most analysts agreed that the Pads where going to pursue one of the high ceiling arms of the draft.

With Bud Selig's disappearance, an interim commissioner was named the day after his disappearance. This new commissioner had not been seen even after his appointment
and the buzz certainly circled about who it was.

When the commissioner took the podium to announce the 1st overall pick. There was an unbelievable amount of gasps and an equal amount of speechless expressions as none other than Harry Caray stood before them.

Brad Asmus and Omar Minaya sat at their draft table when Caray came out. Asmus picked up the phone and called McGovern.
