Grove nails a turnaround jumper and after Hamilton puts in a layup and two free throws, Phillips sinks a jumper. Thomas and Johnson trade layups then after McGee makes 1 of 2 free throws, Thomas buries a jumper to give Boise State the lead, 8-7, with under 15:00 remaining. Grove nails a 3pter and a jumper and after Thomas banks in a layup, Edwards makes two free throws to tie the game. Thomas cans 1 of 2 free throws then after Gilchrist swishes a hook, Gilchrist converts a 3-point play to give Nevada a four point lead, 17-13, halfway through the opening period. Zuzak and Fields trade layups then McGee and Hamilton trade layups as the Wolfpack leads by four, 21-17, with just under 5:00 to go. Grove tips in a rebound and after Okoye sinks a short turnaround jumper, Johnson makes two free throws. Hamilton drops in a layup then after Johnson buries a 3pter, Dalgarn hits two free throws and Moritz puts in a layup to pull the Broncos to within three at the half. First Half
Moritz drops in a layup then after Potter and Okoye trade jumpers, Seay and Webster bury hooks to give Fresno State the lead, 6-4, with just over 15:00 remaining. Thomas makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Pratt puts in a layup, Kabba sinks a turnaround jumper and Edwards cans two free throws. Henderson stuffs in a dunk then after Noonan swishes a jumper, Golubovic banks in a layup to give the Bulldogs the lead, 12-11, halfway through the first half. Hamilton banks in a layup then after Okoye drills a hook, Webster puts in a layup. Edwards drains a 3pter and after Seay knocks down a jumper, Minor and Harvey trade a pair of free throws each as Boise State is up by a bucket, 20-18, with just under 5:00 to go. Potter sinks a short turnaround jumper and after Thomas makes two free throws, Harvey cans 1 of 2 free throws. Fullove and Franklin both hit two free throws then Cunningham and Harvey trade jumpers as Fresno State leads by three at the half. Edwards has 5 points to lead Boise State and Harvey leads Fresno State with 5.
Second Half
Edwards sinks a jumper and after Moritz makes two free throws to give Boise State the lead, Seay drains 1 of 2 free throws to tie the game, 28-28, with 15:00 remaining. Seay hits a 3pter and after Moritz drops in a layup, Seay nails a jumper. Noonan drills a 3pter and Thomas puts in a layup then Webster and Golubovic both sink jumpers to give Fresno State the lead, 37-35, midway through the second half. Golubovic puts in a layup then after Noonan and Golubovic trade jumpers, Devonish drops in a layup. Kabba sinks a short jumper and after Devonish knocks down a 3pter, Edwards and Devonish trade layups and Pratt makes two free throws as the Bulldogs build their lead to nine, 50-41, with 5:00 to go. Devonish and Zuzak trade layups then after Harvey makes two free throws, Seay sinks a short turnaround jumper. Hamilton banks in a layup then Edwards hits 1 of 2 free throws as Fresno State advances to the WAC finals.
