Cool I'll get you in there. You don't have to get chewed out by me. You'll probably go to some power conference school. The 3 years will be tricky, but I'll try to figure something out.

Haha, looks like I made you too good. You're a 5-star recruit which means your at least in the top 25. Oh well if you leave early you can make another.

Ok you're #20 in the class and the #4 PG, that's not too bad. You should at least stay 2 years, and I might have gotten right on the money and that be 3 years. Who knows? Lol.

      North Florida Ospreys
      08-09 Season Preview

      2008-2009 Roster
*blue = starter, red = redshirt

      Who's Out
The Ospreys lose two starters in Chris Timberlake and James Grimball. The two of them were the leaders of the team, and were key in the team's run through the conference tournament. James Grimball was first team all conference, and Timberlake wasn't far behind. North Florida loses their two most talented players, but they brought in one good recruiting class....

      Who's In
Emerson Riley comes in as the tallest guy in the conference by half an inch. Not only does he have the height advantage, but he is also the most talented 7-footer in the Atlantic Sun. We think he immediately starts dominated and fills Grimball's role very easily. Junior Rivera will be a very good point guard for Coach Matthews. He has the potential to be a lot better than Timberlake. Rivera was also recruited heavily by Maryland and Florida before they ran out of scholarships to give out. Look for Ka'Ron Ellerbee to make an impact off of the bench as well. (I forgot him on the roster, he's a JR center with a 68 overall).

      08-09 Season Prediction
      16-10
North Florida could win as many as 8 non-conference games this year. Out of 10 that is a very good number to have. While this team is very young, starting 2 FR, 2 SO, and a JR, we think they have the potential to at least make a run at the A-Sun again. The only people standing in their way are the same two as last year....Belmont and East Tennessee State.

          North Florida Destroys the Bruins
          ”Coach Matthews is actually happy?"
          November 9, 2008

          Code:
                           1st 2nd Total
          Alcorn State 16 32 48
          North Florida 48 49 97
Just like last year, North Florida has won their first round match-up in the CBE Tournament. This year it was against one of the worst teams in college basketball though instead of a team like Maryland. Alcorn State never stood a chance, and was dominated from start to finish. North Florida could have had their player’s mothers out there and they still could have won. Freshman center Emerson Riley was extremely impressive in the short amount of time he played. He could be one of the top performing freshman in the country this season.

          Coach Matthews’ Minute
“This is Coach Matthews happy. *makes big fake smile* I like when we beat teams by 40 or 50 points. Everyone got some playing time and that’s a good thing to get everyone back in the swing of things. I think we have a chance to be very good this year after seeing the guys play today.”

          North Florida Ospreys Player Stats
          Brent Wood – 22 pts, 6 reb, 2 stl (25 minutes)
          Emerson Riley – 21 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 8-9 FG (13 minutes)
Ashton Jones – 15 pts, 1 reb (15 minutes off bench)

          Alcorn St. Braves Player Stats
          Anthony Ford – 11 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast
          E.F. Shifino – 10 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast (13 minutes, fouled out)
          James Kendrick – 9 pts, 8 reb, 1 ast

”Mistakes at end of game cost Ospreys."

            #16 Tennessee 46 43 89
North Florida ALMOST had themselves another huge upset at the beginning of the year. Had it not been for some foul trouble for Emerson Riley, they probably would have won. Riley has started to get some national recognition after another great game, this time against a very good Tennessee Volunteer team. The Vols just didn't have an answer for the big man, but turnovers down the stretch allowed them to pull away enough to hold off UNF.

            Coach Matthews’ Minute
“So much for me being happy. We should have won that game, but my players made stupid mistakes down the stretch. Seriously, when you have a wide open lane to the basket and your down by two...*cough*Emerson*cough* you shoot a lay-up.... You don't pass it for a kind of open 3-point shot that we're going to miss..”

*North Florida 6th man and back-up C Ka'Ron Ellerbee broke his ankle during tonights game. He will be sidelined for a month and a half. Ellerbee is the main back-up for the UNF big men, and with him down they will probably struggle a lot more than they have been.*

            North Florida Ospreys Player Stats
            Tom Hammonds - 31 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, 5 stl
            Emerson Riley – 22 pts, 10 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk, 2 stl

                  North Florida 50 37 87
The Ospreys clearly came out to play tonight. That loss against Tennessee must have fueled their fire, because they came out hot and didn’t slow down. For the third straight game, and every game in his career, Emerson Riley put up over 20 points and 10 rebounds. The other star freshman for the Ospreys, Junior Rivera, also had his 2nd straight double-double. The story of the game was the battle between freshman centers Ryan Forbes and Emerson Riley. Both players had great games, but in the end Riley led his team to an easy W.

                  Coach Matthews’ Minute
“Ahhhh, home sweet home…. I’m happy with how the guys played today. Losing Ellerbee had me worried, but Jones stepped up and played some solid defense in his absence. I hope he can continue to do so for the next month.”

Even without their best player, Jessie Sapp (86 ovr), who is out with an injury, Georgetown was supposed to win this game by 20+. Led by star freshman Emerson Riley, the Ospreys almost the entire game. Georgetown took the lead for the first time with 3:30 to go in the game. Shortly after it seemed that hopes of an upset were lost when Riley fouled out with just over three minutes to go. Luckily for UNF, Brent Wood who had a horrible night shooting made a huge 3 to tie the game back up. Some solid defense by back-up forward Kyle Groothuis allowed North Florida to pull away enough to force the Hoyas to intentionally foul.

                        Coach Matthews’ Minute
“That’s what I’m *beepin* talking about! Huge win over the Hoyas there. The team is playing great lately, can’t wait to see what we can do when we have Ellerbee to back up big Riley when he gets in foul trouble. Who’s next?”

Wow, nice upset there. Pretty surprising to say the least.

                                South Florida 48 38 86
Despite the end result, it was a really horrible game for the Ospreys. They had their two starting big men foul out, including Emerson Riley who only played 13 minutes. UNF also had two guys end the game with 4 fouls, and several others with multiple fouls. Tom Hammonds stepped up, scoring 29 points for the Ospreys, but it wasn’t enough. The trio of Mercer, Jones, and Happy Pardon (FR PF – 69 OVR) was enough to lead the Bulls to victory. South Florida improves to 4-0 after tonight’s win.

“The fact that you guys are blaming this game on foul trouble just shows how stupid you reporters really are. Yes, having our leading scorer and rebounder hurt us badly by only playing 13 minutes and fouling out….but that isn’t the reason we lost. We lost because they shot 39 free throws….we lost because they outrebounded us 45 to 24 (17 to 7 OFF)….we lost because They had 21 2nd chance points compared to our 10. We lost because we played like sh*t….not because of fouls.”
